I think the fuel consumption part is very, very subjective.

Simple thing like whether you live in condo or landed can make a difference. Whether you frequent shopping malls. Whether you drive on clearer city roads (especially during MCO, like LDP, Federal, MRRS).

Mine, single fuel can get 6.0L/100km when driving on Federal from KL to Shah Alam. But my average fuel (total mileage 220km so far) is at around 9L/100km, only using Normal mode right now, but I would say I am light footed.

car FC memang very subjective. ppl say myvi very save fuel wat 1 tank go 400+km, but my mum punya myvi only get 280-300km need refuel, why? Because she only drive around the neighbourhood and go pasar beli sayur, low speed max also 60km/h only, and alot start stop traffic at pasar wait parking. my place is small place also, highway stretch max 1-2km got traffic light liao.

Vkool Elite 70 for windshield + Vkool 55 for driver/front passenger + Vkool 40 for rear passenger/rear windshield.

Let me know if this is okay

Quite disingenuous, if 100% drive in city but using clear main roads with no traffic lights, sure can.

When people say "city drive", it means a lot of stop-start (jam, traffic lights etc). ZERO change you get anywhere close to 6.7L/100km in such a scenario.
*
Well to be fair I drive to work everyday even during MCO and I leave home around 6:55am and leave work sharp at 5pm daily. Typically there are in no way in Klang Valley drive is free of traffic and there are bound to be stop-start traffic in certain stretch of the road and this is true even during MCO period where Police road blocks are present for work.

What I am trying to imply is that one can achieve better fuel consumption if he is determined enough noting that the improved fuel consumption is not during MCO but after the economy has opened where there are many cars on the road.

It's okay. Normally, around 3,650. V-Kool quoted you or the dealer. If dealer, which one?

I think that's fair. What I got was:

Vkool 70 (55% TSER) - Front windscreen
Solar kool 40 (65% TSER) - Driver + passenger window (5 mil secrity tint)
Vkool 30 (70% TSER) - Rear passenger windows + rear windscreen
Solar Gard 20 Metal out (80% TSER) - Pano sunroof

Damage: RM4,000

Pay more attention on the front windscreen (and pano sunroof) as those are where most of the heat come from. Perhaps next time I'll go with more darker tint for the windscreen.

In x50 different story.
upgrade better speaker doesnt help due to the IHU just too weak to push stock speaker, so the same on upgraded speaker.
Dsp is the way to fix, or other word make your upgraded speaker worth.
The question is, worth to go 1k pegasus or 400-600 china dsp.
I asked lyn member that own x50 with pegasus but he doesnt reply me lol... So i don know

IHU too weak? I find it puzzling if the sound quality is crippled not by the speakers but by the software?

QUOTE(ktek @ Nov 3 2021, 05:46 AM)
i never listen x50 yet. so bila meets haha
dsp require installer kungfu totally. ask for live demo whenever possible.
speaker just match the size. aim for good material non paper made.

alter speaker phase (inverse positif n negatif) might get u surprise. recent i play with other cars, plenty improvements without spending at alls

Do you recommend the DSP route and if yes, any particular type? One seller quoted RM500-600 for a basic one and a RM1.2k for a DSP with high quality bluetooth quality or something

Any idea what's this below?

Woah, are you saying putting such tints with such TSER, you're still not happy? This is already at the higher end as far as TSER is concerned...

That's not what I am saying. The heat rejection from the side windows are good because of the high TSER but the front can be hot due to the lower 55% TSER.

May consider going for vkool 40 for the front windscreen in the near future smile.gif

Hi, anyone got faced issue where during low speed/rpm like 1.5k - 2krpm that time, light footedly press the gas pedal will have some stutter or jerking issue. And also when releasing the gas pedal, the gear will tend to like dragging the car speed. Is this a common behaviour for a DCT?  blink.gif
*
Coming from MT driver I find this normal because the gears are directly connected unlike conventional AT where the gears wasn't directly connected except for cruising they will lock it up.

DCT is basically 2 sets of MT that changes gear automatically, so it will somewhat inherit some MT characteristics.

for turbo charge rides, it actually happens same to other AT gear as well.
this is not becos of gearbox. no matter one clutch or two or three, still behave the same. usually we explain as automated manual trans.

Can't comment much on this since this is my first turbo and my first DCT

But 1 thing for sure is that coming from MT driver, low gear will feel the drag obviously, heck even just A/C compressor kick in on MT car can directly feel the drag especially when you're on 1st & 2nd gear sweat.gif

Test drove Passat 7 gear dry clutch dct and x70 ckd dct, both have similarity when it tend to skip gear 1 most of time. It is resemble of a manual gb like, so the drag can't be eliminated totally. Maybe the skip gear 1 is done to reduce that

Not complaining anyway, it is how DCT works mechanically and I'm totally fine with that.

Same with X50 it tends to skip Gear 1 even on a steep hill.

If say Proton/Geely did a fix to reduce low speed drag, which possibly by applying throttle, that would affect FC pula.

We get something and lose something. I came from MT, this low gear drag on X50 is very acceptable VS controlled by human at Gear 1 or 2 you need to be quite skilled to be able to smoothen these drags without disengaging the clutch.
