If say Proton/Geely did a fix to reduce low speed drag, which possibly by applying throttle, that would affect FC pula.
We get something and lose something. I came from MT, this low gear drag on X50 is very acceptable VS controlled by human at Gear 1 or 2 you need to be quite skilled to be able to smoothen these drags without disengaging the clutch.

Believe all new dct on vw already set up to skip D1 now on most cases. Since 1.8T is based on vw engine, doubt the Geely dct also copy paste of vw dsg
