Clean CCRIS, recently got housing loan approved at 2.9%, stable employment.

I am thinking 7 or 9 yrs.

Test drive Proton X50 yesterday.

Proton SA says if I order Flagship or the second highest tier, PLUS with a RM3k++ package, I will be prioritised. Can get car in 3 months. If I get standard or third highest spec, PLUS RM3k++ package, can get car in 5 to 6 months. He not happy I looking at the lower spec versions. He says standard spec so far their outlet just got one order fulfilled.

But he says if I DO NOT take package, will take 6 to 8 months for higher two specs, and more than 8 months for lower two package.

What nonsense is it? I ask if he holding the order. He say he don't do that but when car comes will give to others. He says many from September 2020 still not fulfilled.

Guys, some questions:

1) Is the RM500 booking fee fully refundable? Need to have a special reason (e.g. loan reject) or can be any reason whatsoever?

2) I'm gonna buy the Executive variant (no add-ons). How long am I expected to wait for the car?

3) If I receive my car after June 2021 (say, in September), am I qualified for the SST exemption price?

Which is the most in demand colours and least in demand colours? Any idea?

I booked X50 Executive yesterday and my SA say can get reject colours or reject loan cases within 3 months.

Oh well, okay. My first choice is the blue. Red would be nice too but that’s not available for Executive variant.

I got loan approved by Cimb Bank. 2.33% interest. 9 years. Loan amount 84.5k for Exec variant.

Is this a reasonable deal?

Is this a good deal?

I got for the same loan amount/period/car, 2.32% from KFH and 2.33% from CIMB Bank.

My dealer says they have cleared September 2020 backlog. Now fulfilling Oct 2020 orders. I ordered on 1st March 2021, she said by June should be okay to get my car.

Yes definitely, I meant her branch. She said by end Feb 2021, all September 2020 orders were cleared.

How much does it cost to tint the car? I want something quality (that will last long), but doesn't need to be super dark. Just a normal "decent" tint in terms of darkness.

Any recommendation?
