Wait, did you mean it's easy to do or it is NOT easy to do? I think what you did was sticking 3M tape at that corner right? Pretty nice thought there, I think I would try your approach. I have tried Aero Fins and they slightly reduced wind noise, but not much. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, if you can find from shoppee or lazada a small 4-6mm height door seal shape or DIY like my experiment, then you could it right at plastic house at car body (you will see it once opened you door).
With the seal, once you close the door, the seal should seal up the narrow gap (I will try show u picture later).
I managed to test a bit on yesterday night, not too fast around 80-9X km/h. Usually I may hear a sharp pitch wind noise, but yesterday didn't hear that but I now hear something else but can differentiate tires or wind noise as this is not as loud as before.
Still need to drive a bit to see the different.
Just for sharing, feel free to do what you want with your car, I'm no expert, just experiment my way. To be honest for my car, the noise is not serious to me. My previous owned cars are Peugeot 405, Honda and Myvi, thus for me X50 is already much better already
