My area has pad-mounted FDPs (the green tong sampah) on the lorong behind the houses for TM HSBB. Theoretically, if TIME or Allo want to expand, do they have to erect poles or can they do a pad mounted FPD, but the latter will probably involve more work.

Also powerlines are buried here too lol.

I heard TIME stopped using poles now. My area and many other areas has fibre at the drain instead. The fibre runs along the drain and the FDP is mounted on the drain as well. For my area, everything is behind your house, except for lorong that doesn't have a back alley.

6months with time already, 0 downtime. If your area is known for vandalism, people might cut the fibre. Then definitely you'll have problem.

As for Allo, they use their existing TNB poles and recently started operation. But I've seen area where they erect their own poles if required.

I live close to several condos and apartments that do have TIME.

So there's a chance. Probably close to nil though haha. The issue is that the drains behind the homes here are covered. I guess they could tanam their fibre cables underground like TM.

As for Allo, do they do pad mounts? I've only seen poles, might be "unsightly" for the residents because the back of their homes have no poles because the TM fibre and copper wiring are underground.

lol, the chance is not nil anymore. Idk what building is that for, but it's some datacenter for time only 200m away. The apartment and condo has coverage. Landed only recently got it 6 months ago after 10+ years.

Unless TIME and Allo has different strategies for your area, then you can only hope.

Maxis is also doing stuff here but so far nothing on FDPs. They might also do underground like TM. So they might be the next option if they do come.

My taman, TM reused their old concrete poles for FDP
Allo erected their own poles for FDP, not sharing any infra with TM (underground pipes, manholes)

So I guess they'll have to erect poles (if they were to expand). Wonder if there'll be opposition from the residents, or they have no say in it?

Depend on location.
For my taman, they use existing tnb pole for their infrastructure.

Same here. They only need to set up a FDC nearby. Everything else is on TNB poles

Everything is underground here, so I guess their only option is to erect new poles in the alley behind every row of homes.

Has anyone here applied for the "Xtra Vaganza Triple the Speed for 100Mbps and Xtra Vaganza Double the Speed for 500Mbps " ?

Rm99 get 300Mbps while Rm139 gets 1Gbps.
Both for 24 months.

Yes, I just applied for the RM139@1Gbps few days ago. Had the on-site technician to help me setup everything. So far so good. No complains about the service..Just noticed that having slow internet when browsing international sites ..Apparently its not just citybroadband, other ISPs been experiencing the same thing for the past few weeks. Anyone here experience this same issue as well?

Yeah. Allo City Broadband Upstream Providers are NTT and Cogent so its affected by the recent submarine cable issues.

However I did notice situation is already starting to improve.
