Anyone here know how to get a custom POM or Polycarbonate plate? I have the dxf file for the plate design, just need to find a manufacturer that does custom one off jobs, any recommendation?

(can't remember others) most stock switches are prelubed at factory, usually minimal amount, but some apply more than usual. (like sp-star white) it's better for you to check out their specs and reviews for more details first. as for your question about sound, i don't have good hints for you, because in general key sound is affected by things like switch, plate, case, keycaps, mods applied and keyboard construction. however, you should check out typing tests presented by users at mymkb fb group, and streamers at youtube/twitch. usually they have specs in the respective descriptions, so you can refer to them. (well, in terms of switches, most of them were lubed and tuned) |

Why the heck its so damn expensive.. price starts >RM150 above... even the normal USB C cable that looks so fancy with sleeving etc cost less than RM30 online and phone shop accessories ... with aviator maybe add another (RM10).. they can sell way below RM80... but so far can't find any |

Hi guys, need advice here, I'm planning to get Corsair k70 mk2 black or the SE white, anyone here care to give some tips and input about it. I understand that the switch cannot be change but the keycap can be change to other color right?
Thx. This post has been edited by MetalIronWood: Apr 9 2021, 12:22 PM |

I guess maybe I don't bottom the keys that hard when I type so I wasn't affected by the bottoming sound. |

Another quick question..
Anyone used car deadening material to lign the case? Does it help? I have put car dead material similar to Dynamat (Google this)... Basically it's butyl material.. I tried this with new keycaps... Hence can't really tell if there is any difference.. or it was just a waste of time.. Tried google.car deadening on mech kB.. but couldn't find any result.. |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Apr 10 2021, 08:57 PM) Another quick question.. i did this before. mine was solid rubber-like, with aluminum foils. the result is not significant, compared to cheapo eva foam/anti-slip mat lolAnyone used car deadening material to lign the case? for stabilizer modifications to minimize wire rattles, here is the current list of known mods:
1. holee mod » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 2. epsi mod » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 3. band-aid wrap mod » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 4. tailor's mod » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i have tried 1, 2 and 3. they all achieve good outcomes. i do make adjustments because i use different materials. as always, do not afraid to experiment, especially with things like materials and thickness tbh, most of these mods (not exact, but same concepts) have been around for a long time. however they were not highlighted (or hyped) like permatex grease mod and heat-shrink mod edit: also, there is no 'the best' in these mods imo. you apply according to situations; and things like wire tuning still apply to make things relatively better.
