Testing the Win port (alpha12 to be exact) one atm and I gotta say that I like the 'lightness' and interface's simplicity.Performance-wise it's a little bit odd since I seem to be able to gain better peer counts with Xunlei in comparison and the speed fluctuations seems to be wildly erratic.Not entirely sure what I did wrong but getting 40-60s in range is sweet though.

Since its ported to Windows, it becomes a threat to TMNET. They will do something about it soon enough.

Works full speed here. Try the settings I have on my screenie here.
Screenie

Anyway guys that did not manage to achieve full speed. It is most probably due to lack of peers, seeders, etc. It can also be because that you guys forgot to port forward. Another reason is that you guys forgot to set your deluge settings. So please, recheck your settings. I did, after updating to alpha12, the settings changed.

Let me add one more thing. I had a torrent with roughly about your amount of seeders and peers (5 seeeders, 30 leechers) and I managed to get only about 20 kB/s max. Of course, I was downloading on mIRC and http as well during that time (and fully utilized my humble 512k speed), so I cannot say anything for sure.

My settings is exactly like yours (except for port number) and I'm getting full speed too. biggrin.gif

ive got the same version, and settings as you guys.. yet, i get only at most 30kb/sec.... average 10kb/sec for those with a lot of seeds (like naruto) and for the less popular, i get like 3kb/sec... what could be wrong? port forwarding works too

I think the problem may be at the connection to the trackers. I know when i use deluge to download torrents from blackcats-games.net, there was a note there saying deluge client has been blocked by the tracker. So i'm getting nil download speed for that torrent.

If that's the case , try XUNLEI then.

For my case , DELUGE doesn't work on demonoid tracker but XUNLEI does...

I have to agree with you on that. Now with only a few seeds and peers I can already get a high speed lol.

Not bad. However it's a little annoying to use because the download speed is not very stable. Sometimes it's slow then you pause and start the download back. If it's still slow then need to retry until you get a fast speed. However, seeing as though it's super easy to install and use, what the heck.

Download speed wise however is quite stable. Able to obtain 40 - 50 kB/s on a 512k connection. Upload speed is super stable (set it to 11 kB/s, stable at 10 kB/s). Tracker used is the pirate bay. However, it has a bad habit of dropping download speed to 30 kB/s so suddenly, heh.

For streamyx users, this is definitely one of the easiest and cheapest ways to do BT. Recommended for anyone who doesn't use any VPN or torrentflux thumbup.gif (yes, I'm a cheapskate hehehe whistling.gif )

PS: Using Deluge on windows not linux. Since UNDERGROUND showed his modem status, I wanna show mine sweat.gif

And yes, I have no idea why my downstream is so high even though my connection is just 512k. And don't get me started with the upstream =.=;

Come on TMnet, gimme free 3 Mbit la thumbup.gif GG thumbup.gif
Did I mention it's bandwidth friendly? Yes it is. It's not a bandwidth sucker like Xunlei and yet it performs and I can still surf, heh.

I imagine spies busy monitoring this thread and sending updates to a certain "isp" and that "isp" is busy whining to Cisco engineers . . . "waaa waaaaa cry.gif why your super highend throttle box cannot stop this delube..deluke...deluxe thingy??? waaa waaaaa cry.gif "

I don't know what they change , maybe something to do at the DSLAM ...
After the upgrade , my SNR increase a lot , hell , a lot ....
My line attenuation dropped too , a lot ...
My overhead speed increase , 512 ---> 2045 256 ---> 509

But still capped at 256/512 U/D
I'm using LINKSYS AM300 which supports the ADSL2+ modulation...

Before the upgrade , i can't even use the G.Lite modulation , not to say ADSL 2 and ADSL 2+...

But now ... brows.gif
