Not bad. However it's a little annoying to use because the download speed is not very stable. Sometimes it's slow then you pause and start the download back. If it's still slow then need to retry until you get a fast speed. However, seeing as though it's super easy to install and use, what the heck.

Download speed wise however is quite stable. Able to obtain 40 - 50 kB/s on a 512k connection. Upload speed is super stable (set it to 11 kB/s, stable at 10 kB/s). Tracker used is the pirate bay. However, it has a bad habit of dropping download speed to 30 kB/s so suddenly, heh.

For streamyx users, this is definitely one of the easiest and cheapest ways to do BT. Recommended for anyone who doesn't use any VPN or torrentflux thumbup.gif (yes, I'm a cheapskate hehehe whistling.gif )

PS: Using Deluge on windows not linux. Since UNDERGROUND showed his modem status, I wanna show mine sweat.gif

And yes, I have no idea why my downstream is so high even though my connection is just 512k. And don't get me started with the upstream =.=;

Come on TMnet, gimme free 3 Mbit la thumbup.gif GG thumbup.gif
Did I mention it's bandwidth friendly? Yes it is. It's not a bandwidth sucker like Xunlei and yet it performs and I can still surf, heh.

If it blocks the id. There is an alternative bittorrent client that is KTorrent only for linux though.

Linux + Ktorrent FTW. Although I myself are definitely not going to go there anytime soon. I hate to admit, kind of scared to jump to another OS sweat.gif . I got a friend who is a uber geek so maybe I can asked him to tutor me thumbup.gif .

Anyways, good luck for you case. icon_rolleyes.gif

Try test active port in deluge preferences under network tab, it doesnt seem to auto add in windows firewall which sometimes causes stability issues
*
Aiyo that test is too see if the port your choose is already forward or not. Not to see if it's in Windows firewall exceptions/allowed program. doh.gif
For that, go to here.

FFS, it's alpha man, ALPHA. It's buggy as crap and you know it, Get Over It. If it's a full released software like utorrent or azureus, then yeah, I would be pissed off too biggrin.gif.

Deluge confirmed bypass throttle.

I'm looking at the who i am downloading from and most of them are foreigners.

Sweden, Germany, USA, Australia .... 10-70 kbps 1 source at times depending so in total i've maxed at 180 kbps at one point !!

the torrent i'm downloading is a steady 120 kbps on torrent !!! so yeah i'm happy since deluge speed seems to be more consistent then The Xunlei torrent client doh.gif which also is fast but most the time the speed is inconsistent.

For me, the new alpha 21 is a no go. My experience with it is:
- Slow increased of speed
- D/l speed seems as though capped at 30 kB/s
- More peers but still low d/l speed
- Better memory usage (+-15 k, deluge.exe)

So I revert back to alpha 12, and what do you know, speed is as expected, excellent. Although I do have issues with this particular ver. on some torrent (won't start downloading at all, don't know why). Although the auto port closed (after a minute of downloading, heh) is a turn off. And don't get me started on the "magically disappearing seeder" issue sweat.gif . However, it works for me so whatever rclxms.gif

why everyone wan Alpha 7? issit the fastest?
*
Personal experience that's all to it. Technically it's build the same only a few tweaks here and there. For me, I it goes without saying. Because the old alpha 12 I manged to download a 7.5 gb file for 2 1/2 days (avg 54, 512k connection) so I know it's reliability.

The new version ones.. not so. Who knows, maybe the newer ones will outperform the old one.

0.5.7.1-2 Windows only bug-fix release

This is a Windows only release, as no real code has changed and no features have been added. This is just a minor fix release to try to get our Windows client working a bit more up to par with our Linux client.
Changes:
*Fix about/credit window
*Close dbus-daemon-deluge.exe in Vista
*Fix some alignment in Preferences

http://download.deluge-torrent.org/index.p...e-0.5.7.1-2.exe
*
Noted, thank you laugh.gif !
