I have another question though. Is compact or full allocation better. What are the difference between both. And Full Stream Encryption is best is it?
*
well i would take full allocation, so it allocated the whole file in one shot, not as it downloads it ...

yeah full encryption is the to get the top speed..

i already fed up with deluge...

ppl up there who is suffering slow download speed like may be your port is open and closed randomly.....
I dont know why...

Keep trying port test with low connection to peer. then u can see the result..
Port is OPEN  and CLOSED every few second
*
well its alpha stage software rather than a beta or a full release so bugs are there...

QUOTE(chuchow @ Oct 12 2007, 08:38 AM)

QUOTE(Revolve @ Oct 16 2007, 06:35 PM)
This stuff is good...but there are few other clients that can perform similar. Well I rather not to tell, cause it might gets throttled soon as I can see some people are already having slow speed using this, but it doesn't matter if its windows or linux application, TM is well aware with it, as long as u all keep posting/share such thing in open forum. So far I havent got any issue using Deluge, time will tell
*
true true.. maybe they should spend their resources fixing/optimizing and upgrading their network then to watch us..

oi TM.. nah.. *showing balls*... eat this tongue.gif

could it be because the torrent doesn't have that much peers/seeds ?

oh ye ke.. i have downloaded the Ubuntu from the website but i cannot install it alone. when i click the icon, it goes to my raxio easy

cd creator which means to burn the Ubuntu. here is my Ubuntu ubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386 or anyone got the direct Ubuntu URL for me

to download once again to fix this problem?  notworthy.gif
*
so you know whats happening or what are you doing or not ???
the one you downloaded is called an ISO image.. which you need to burn to a cd in order to use.. or mount it on a cdrom emulator...

for more on vmware visit vmware.com to learn what is it.. and to install ubuntu.. on vmware search on the ubuntu forum.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(StraxorX @ Oct 24 2007, 04:29 PM)
can anyone tell which port is better for faster speed?
*
ports > 10000 and above would be a good choice.. and remember to do port forward to your pc.. if your using a router..

oic. so i have to download the VMware 1st then download the Ubuntu lah rite? after the all installation ( VMware+ Ubuntu ) in my C drive,

i have to run the VMware 1st then i can run the Ubuntu, rite? correct me if im wrong..  hmm.gif
*
well you have to download both in order to install..
1. install vmware this will provide a virtual platform for ubuntu to run..
2. mount ubuntu iso as a cdrom to the virtual server

QUOTE(-Mogwai- @ Oct 24 2007, 06:58 PM)
which VMware should i download? Fusion or Workstation to comply with the

Ubuntu?
*
depends on what you plan to archive.. see the product comparison ...
if i'm not mistaken fusion is for mac os ..
your choice would be workstation.. or server.. workstation need money .. server free.. but need to register in order to get reg code..

search either on vmware forum or ubuntu forums for more info.. or you can refer to the manual also..

Pls refer attachment, my settings correct ?
need to set to FullStream or Either ?
*
fullstream will get you connected to less peer...
if either you can connect to more peers..

full means header will be encrypted also , either means if the peer no support then it won't be encrypted tongue.gif

remember sometimes connected to more isn't that good.. also...

eg.. connected to peers who's bandwidth is throttled ? tongue.gif

Deluge only works if there are many seeders otherwise VPN is better.
*
well deluge = free...
VPN = $$ (small subscription fees)

so in either way its a win win situation smile.gif , depends on your choice.. if you are getting rare/old torrents vpn is better
for new torrents eg less than 1 month of age.. then deluge would work fine... *as least for me*

Yah, everyone should know that deluge is a linux product, it is best run in linux or virtualization and should be grateful about those people who help it ported to windows.
*
yes yes, are you sure everybody knows its a linux product ?,
well if your not grateful for the windows version, port it yourself then you can fix and bug that you encounter.. tongue.gif

QUOTE(everest @ Oct 29 2007, 09:50 AM)
