Er, sorry for being a noob here, but I'm kinda slow when it comes to softwares and stuff. But I tried downloading the Deluge installer for windows, and when I finished downloading the file cant be run. Also, it's not in .exe format too. Could someone tell me how do I get this installed? Thanks in advance.

has anyone noticed frequent disconnection when using deluge? is that tmnet's way of curbing the usage? anyways i have a few theories but would love to hear from you guys. firstly just before installing deluge in PCLinuxOS, my netgear wifi router decided to stop working. so then i had to connect to streamyx using the dsl modem straight to the phone jack. i do get good speeds with deluge but i often get disconnected. sometimes the connection gets reconnected automatically but sometimes it just stops working. this causes my torrent speeds to fluctuate. i do not know if its a problem with the modem or if its because i now do not have a router. of course another explanation is if stremyx have already found out about deluge and is purposely disconnecting me!

After looking at all these posts, I decided to try deluge on my Windows XP. Through utorrent, I was able to upload 5kB/s for a torrent. Using the same internet connection and torrent, I can now upload at full speed. Heck, it works!

Nah....I dont think so. I have left deluge on for 2 days and didnt experience any disconnection, only full speed download!

Works full speed here. Try the settings I have on my screenie here. ScreenieAnyway guys that did not manage to achieve full speed. It is most probably due to lack of peers, seeders, etc. It can also be because that you guys forgot to port forward. Another reason is that you guys forgot to set your deluge settings. So please, recheck your settings. I did, after updating to alpha12, the settings changed. Let me add one more thing. I had a torrent with roughly about your amount of seeders and peers (5 seeeders, 30 leechers) and I managed to get only about 20 kB/s max. Of course, I was downloading on mIRC and http as well during that time (and fully utilized my humble 512k speed), so I cannot say anything for sure.
