Ok. I miss this on the site previously.
So for those that d/led python, I am sorry.

Taken from the windows alpha port site.
Known problems:
* Tray icon is not removed when closing deluge. Corrected in next version
* Trackers can be long to give info. Try to manually refresh tracker, it often helps.
Also, sometimes only a small fraction of peers are connected. This problem is under investigation.
* One or two popups complaining python is not found. This is just a warning, close the popups and everything should be fine.
* Crash on start. Make sure that there are not other torrent program taking the port. Close the other torrent programs, change the port in preferences to another port.

It say the application requested a runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. bla bla bla? DId i install less thing? I thought only deluge and phyton needed?

I got the reply from Slurdge.

Just download the *.exe then execute it, and test it at ur own risk, cause it is really 'Unstable' alpha version.
Just ignore the 2 error dialog box when start up Deluge.

Exactly what I did, ignore the errors.

Btw, be warned that you need to manually add torrents (you cant just open it with deluge, it wont work cuz the program crashes).

Now lets start wishing the threadstarter put up the windows link shall we (and stop ppl from having to dload 5 GB of torrent files before being able to do this)?

FAT32 and NTFS probably has nothing to do with it. Who uses FAT32 nowadays anyway (other than flash drives)? Even linux doesnt use FAT32.

Other than the python popup error, my Deluge windows port doesn't crash for me but seems that the torrents doesn't get the speed as fast as linux port.

Did you not read the posts before posting? It is an ALPHA build and it MAY or MAY NOT work on your system.

Hey everyone, thanks to the peeps here in this thread, I have managed to set up Deluge.

I have to say, from knowing 0% about Linux now I know a thing or two. I still don't know how to compile, right now just learn how to use Debian packages..

Anyway just a tip for those who tried and getting error when installing .deb packages, make sure you update in Add/Remove section smile.gif

btw no windows system is EVER the same after the first install of the OS. a billion things change in the registry just by installing and uninstalling files.

Try pressing enter on the error. Anyway, at least post a screenie on that error, so that I would know which one is that.

The only hope you have is probably to reinstall.

Btw, I hope you were pressing the right shortcut, and right exe.
