on my fedora 7 vm, deluge can't exit properly
my boxtorrent account shows multiple entries of the same torrent because of that
even the interface feel smoother to use, deluge feels like it's lagging

deluge is a relatively new client. their releases are frequent and have many new fixes if you bother to update. the thing i like about deluge is that their developers are open to suggestions and actually implement them. all i have to do is give a shout out on the forum and its there. 0.5.4.1 was slow for me until i purged the installed files using aptitude. then i reinstalled it. i have to redo my settings which took about a minute, but in the end the client is snappy.
another good app as a music player is Exaile. check it out.

Haha. Seems like I checked the option to get source from CD within the synaptic package manager. Now can use WinSCP already. Thanks ya. Anyway, I'm using VMWare.

yep, port forwarded and tested successfully. downloading some tv series and music..

i can connect to all the seeds/peers it always showing something like 35(35)/ 300(300) on the seeds / peers tab.. just the speed dun seem to get past 20k

but downloaded the latest ubuntu realease can touch 70k

VMware means I can run xp and ubuntu at the same time?

I'm also a Ubuntu Feisty Fawn newbie here i.e. about 2 weeks.  I am currently downloading Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 1.4 (about 2Gigs) and you can find it here.  The screenshots look really excellent.

PS - I also use Ubuntu Feisty Fawn mainly for downloading torrents using Deluge as it seems to work the best for me even downloading from overseas IPs.  However, I'm beginning to like it more and more.

speed is still fine for me. was downloading at 160kB/s even yesterday night.

hey .. anyone here using vmware player ? ... how did u guys manage to bypass the 'insert CD' during terminal running? i cant seems to get pass it to get the 'ssh' ....

About the WinScp becoz i am using vmware player it seems i cant mount the image.

I try SAMBA before (it is just a driver to enable linux to browse windows share). While a good solution but it is very slow to transfer large files over network. Although VMWare and Windows is local, somehow the traffic have to go through the NIC that is slowing down the speed. Try to transfer a 4gig file and you will know the pain.

I found out the best solution is to use a physical partition with ext3 formatted and installed IFSDrive (doesn't work in Vista) in your Windows to read linux partition is the easiest and fastest way to share the files. You can use your Linux to donwload to that partition and then use your windows to read the ext3 drive directly. No need to transfer in/out between 2 OS.
