Added on August 31, 2007, 6:27 pmI don't really change anything much in my settings and I can get about 40-50kB/s even with less than 20 seeds from international sites.

Suk,

I don't see anything wrong with your settings. It is probably just that the seeders have capped their upload speed or the file is quite rare. Have you tried downloading from a file with lots of seeders? Try to find any file which has about 1,000 seeders and download it for about half an hour. I also usually reboot my router when I notice that the DS SNR Margin gets worse.

AFter i enable th file sellection in the 1st preferences bar, It prompt to ask me which file to dl. But when i wwan to put dont download for certain file. It come out with alert say that.
FIle Priority can only be set when using full allocation. Please change your preference to disable compact allocation. Then remove and readd this torrent.

While i already put the file allocation to full allocation. And if i want to change it to compact allocation. It seems to be auto go back to full allocation after i open back preference. Deno why. My VM server only 10 gb. I cant dl a 19gb file if i cant choose the file iwan to dl..

you either have to downgrade or upgrade your deluge. best you upgrade. http://deluge-torrent.org/faq
use the SVN version. make sure you remove your old deluge installation completely. and just as a precaution you should remove the deluge settings folder. under /home/YOUR_USER_NAME/.config/deluge
but you can save the torrentfiles folder somewhere so you dont have to find them again

Finally installed Ubuntu and Deluge and I'm glad to say it works. I'm geting speeds of >50 KB/S.

I only wish Deluge had options like uTorrent -- e.g. Web Utorrent and the ability to track RSS feeds so I can automatically download my favourite shows.

It works great though -- is there an version for Windows or Mac?

i have to say the thing i miss most about uTorrent is its RSS. its so perfect. deluge has one but its far from functional.
it doesnt have webui yet but i used to SSH + VNC to my pc from work and manage my torrents.

hey i finished installed deluge in linux via vmware player. i notice the speed was almost the same with thunder (xunlei) for my case. i tried downloading an anime and the speed average 80 kbps while films especially from axxo hits 20 - 30 kbps only...

however, i notice the ftp download is slightly faster. 30+ kbps in linux and 20 + kbps for windows..

i just wanna ask. how do you transfer files from vmware player linux to windows? the tutorial provided uses winscp to access linux in windows. but i need to transfer the file from linux to windows... do i still need winscp?

install samba, and share the linux folder as a windows share.

If you're using ubuntu do a search for sharing files with windows with unbuntu.
