hi everyone,
i've been trying this deluge now

one thing i'm wondering is about the port...
do i need to change the port or keep it default ?
cos i'm only getting 10 kBps, never more than that ?
or any setting do i need to change ?

updated, been getting 50-110 kBps
so i guess it's all about the torrent, seeder, leecher and so on,
not the port setting smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

thx TS for showing deluge,
before this, i don't really boot up my ubuntu cos i don't really need it

I haven't been using my Vista since the last 3-4 days and now fiddling around with Ubuntu 7.04.

My main usage would probably to torrent with Deluge (which works perfectly well for me).  Burning DVDs would be another use and other minor things.

Could anyone give comments on whether I should just get rid of Vista and just put Ubuntu on my PC?  I'm still really undecided...

if ur trying to find reasons why u should stick to ubuntu (or any other linux distro) instead of ur current windows
try reading this short thread ---> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=516040

don't forget to hang around that forum if u wish to learn more about ubuntu,
i learn alot from it

btw, i don't think this is the right place to talk about vista vs ubuntu

PS : i'm not promoting another forum in here smile.gif just wanna share smile.gif

@ Suk

CMIIW, i think ur complaining about getting very less seeder and leecher is on the torrent file itself,
some torrent file, especially new 'n popular torrent, may have lots of seeder,
while old torrent file, may have just a few seeder...

Why not you all just install Ubuntu on a separate partition and save all the hassles?
*
because not everyone interested in ubuntu (or if i may say, linux stuff)
and willing to go through all the hassles to install and use a totally new OS (i mean new to user, not new to the world)

but if one is willing to install ubuntu (instead of VMware) then u'll most probably never come back to this thread biggrin.gif
