nice... deluge's new "full stream" encryption actually works
but you still have to encrypt the tracker communication with tor ( at least for demonoid )
nice.............

0 before tor and 10 - 25kbps after tor, that torrent has 12 seeders and 77 peers
it was 0 the whole week and only after i switch to deluge it started running.
weird thing now is it sometimes just closes itself...

Yes. Possible. Ubuntu hv an external HDD automount function. Should be PnP. Just make sure you unmount the pendrive before unplug. Note that when it is active in Ubuntu, it'll be inactive in Windows (for VMWare user).

best to upgrade to the latest version of deluge. 0.5.4.1
in fact its even better if you get the SVN.less problems overall.
the instructions on how to download and compile the svn are on their website. its straight forward

I had a lot of problems (network stopped working after a while, deluge would close itself unpredictably, etc) with 0.5.4.1 on my VMWare Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. Installed and uninstalled multiple times, using various methods (apt-get, debian package installer, etc). Finally gave up and downloaded the 0.5.2 version from www.getdeb.net website. Works like a charm now laugh.gif I use bridged mode, and using a wireless connection to boot. Goes up to around 150KB/s depending on the torrent.

I personally don't find much of a difference between ktorrent and deluge. Both are fast.

Deluge seems to be working quite well for me and am able to get 70-100kB/s even though browsing is very slow.
