The upload slot depends on your upload speed. If the upload speed is low 3-5 upload slot is more than enough. Unless its very high example 10-100mbps upload than yes you can put upload slot more.

The reason is if your upload slot too much but upload speed low you will split the upload speed too thin to other users, thus he will drop the connection which can result you having low speed. Its best to experiment with upload slot until achieve maximum download speed and upload speed. This is one of tweaks of getting good download speed.

Its useless to close this thread. Like I said , TMNet can really do little or nothing at all. They can't just block ports. If they do , people will find alternative ways. Trust me , this is where people's mind start to work..

My friend working in ISP company told me that TM Net had Cisco Service Control Engine at their exchange points. It allows them to do deep packet inspection, detect P2P traffic and throttle it even if it's encrypted. Let's hope LYN has programming experts can write own software to bypass TM Net inspection.

i think blocking ports wont do much for them. but im sure no matter how moronic they are they still have some knowledge on how to manage their network. patrick norton explains this in last weeks TWiT about 30 minutes into the show. he talks about packet shaping

TECHNICALLY..... if you are breaking someones encryption, thats invasion of privacy no? its something i dont want you to see yet you are using forceful means to look at it and affecting the outcome of my goal. i dont know, i dont do law but im sure you could sue someone on that basis

further explanation of your problem is required for us to help you. what OS, how are you running it, what torrent client, a screen shot of your settings would all be appreciated.

sry. if you think that im a linux pro you are gravely mistaken.
i dont know what the problem is with your download and upload speed. my settings are exactly the same as on my screenshots in on the first page of this thread. to be honest, a lot of things are MORE complicated when you run ubuntu virtually. things dont work out of the box like they do when you run it natively. might be due to the image vmware provides if thats how you installed it

try limit your upload speed to ~20kbps.. fullspeed upload might choke download bandwidth..

if you want to know max dl speed capable by your deluge, try download ubuntu torrent or latest naruto torrent. both torrent have lots of good seeder. if u can get max speed on that torrent, that means your current torrent u having problem have stingy seeders.. tongue.gif

In case where using guest Linux under VMware, mouse scroll does not work.
To fix this, open terminal and type the following:
$ sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Then find "InputDevice" section with Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Change Option "Protocol" "ps/2"
to
Option Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Last restart X using Ctrl + Alt + Backspace
