rate seems tempting as they have a promotional rate of 3%
but they didn't post out what are they investing so that holds me back

worrying that they investing in some kind of short term bond or CP which impose risk

I am interested to know about KID Save and Invest.

If "purely" compare to get higher interest, maybe SSPN, ASNB or EPF are better, disregard the withdrawal rules and interest availability.

Do they mention about the withdrawal timeline?

Also need to clarify with the Fixed return of 3% during promotional period.

faq https://digitalinvesting.com.my/faq/

If I withdraw funds, how long does it take to get the funds back into my bank account?

For withdrawals from KDI Save, it will take up to 1 to 2 working days from the time of request for the funds to be transferred to your bank account.

For withdrawals from KDI Invest, it will take between 6 to 7 working days from the time of request for the funds to be transferred to your bank account.

Note that the moment you have made any withdrawal, you will immediately receive an email confirming on the submission of withdrawal request. Upon confirmation of the withdrawal, you will receive another email.

3% is for the KDI Save, no management fee for KDI Save.

The management fee charged is only for KDI Invest.

Ah, same structure as Stashaway Simple then, I thought the 3% was a T&C gotcha from them.

Interesting.

It still puzzle me after all this years on why opt for mmf. Nowadays sspn withdrawal is without rules and fast. Can anyone please enlighten me as to the reasons.

it is because of the SSPN dividend is not daily rest, its based on the balance at 5th of the month, and it may takes days to reflect even for deposit.

It does not take days to reflect if you use fpx, instant . As for interest calc i dont think its much of an issue. If we are singaporean or the rest of the world without sspn deposit facilities then i can understand. Whatsmore no service charges. I m not deviating from the topic but i do have a sizeable fund that i m finding avenue for but this mmf in Malaysia has been puzzling me. Seems my intellect may be lower than average.

Keep in mind the 3% rate is promo rate until end of this year. But still better than other MMF.

not everyone has child for the tax relief?

as well, a lot are kinda particular on the withdrawal/liquidity turnover time, e.g. many opt for Versa over Stashaway Simple because Versa take only 1 biz day for withdrawal

What has it to do with child ? You can open it in your own name although withou income tax benefit.

All my children have account under their own name also.

If its just a few thousand then i think most would simply keep in their savings account. But if its tens of thousands and possibly more then interest will take priority vs a few extra days of withdrawal.

agree and disagree, for ur case maybe you are parking your money as a stash in SSPN for a longer time of period, remain untouched
while some are seeking a 'parking facility with the highest rate vs shortest withdrawal time so they can invest as soon they get the opportunity in other investment tools
