If you plan to buy sg stocks, open with Moomoo or tiger.
If you just want to "hold" SGD cash, then anyone will do. For me, I will choose the one with the highest return.

Which one is highest return? What do you recommend?

Don't know. I use up my cash very fast cause got some stuff on discount. Not going to park my money in mmf when there's discount ongoing.

Do your own homework. I can't spoon-feed everything.

What's on discount? Any recommended material I can scan through to learn about what's what? And how to spot discounts and opportunities?

Sorry..lol. I'm not expecting to be spoon-fed. Just overwhelmed with all the options, and genuinely want to learn the craft.

Stocks are on discount. If something is selling down, it's a discount. Many people panic and unable and afraid to buy when market is red. I buy when market is red. The redder it is the better. Yes things can get cheaper but if something's are on sale, just grab. Work extra job/overtime to get more cash and hope discount stays for longer.

Stuff like Johnson and Johnson, snowflake, datadog,
Have a watchlist on things you want to buy. When they are not a all time high, it's good idea to buy some.

Come spoon feed you. A simple google search will tell you the answer.
"moomoo tiger endowus moneyowl"

Keep in mind don't move money back and forth between sg and malaysia. Once Money in sg leave it there. If you are not ready to leave your money in sg, dont invest overseas.

Does versa pay daily interest too?

Prefer KDI cos its daily compounded interest and processing is faster

Readers should beware of the law of one price... that with higher returns, there's presence of unspoken risks, no matter how small or insignificant they are.

With MMFs, readers ought to monitor the health of the fund's counterparties from time to time (Singapore MMFs are usually transparent about this as they will list them down in the factsheets). Readers should at the very least know who borrows their money.

I invested in MooMoo CashPlus before and we can see where they actually invested our money. In Malaysia, i went in to KDI website and they have no such information. The only thing they put big big is their return, but if who they invested defaulted on the money, then investor also will lose money. Seems like many people treat MMF as FD, but in actual FD carry no risk, but MMF do.

KDI doesn’t have daily compounding in the 1st πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

It is more fixed price unit and then daily returns while Versa variable price as it will changes roughly every 2 days because of fractional price

If you don’t touch the money often then Versa it is worth it but liquidity wise is still KDI for better execution

Yes in terms of liquidity wise

Cannot compare MMF with FD as it is short duration vs fixed duration πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Disclosure wise yes KDI is not that transparent but as long as it is regulated by SC you should not worry too much defaults as they are running a brokerage business which is more leveraged than KDI itself

Ppl treat MMF not because like FD but because of liquidity unlike FD is stuck and pay upon duration is complete

It is only compounded after the returns goes into the net return 1st πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Their treasury product is a fixed price units not like Versa because Versa variable price to accumulate and then only do distribution via monthly payout

You use daily effective annual rate calculator and it will tell you why it is not πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

It is not straight fixed daily compounding rate

I had an excel sheet then and it calculated perfectly. So nvm, forget it. I just needed to know if Versa is the same. I got my answer. 😁
