Hi all,

I have some questions.

Recently, FD rates are low now. It is a good investment to consider money market fund since it is low fees as compare to other types of unit trust fund and waiting time to withdraw is probably about 2 days with no charges.

The typical return to investor is 6 months or one year based on the NAV at that time.

Does my understanding correct?

Will it be the return for money market fund will lower than banks FD promo rate about 2.80%?

curious why nobody talks about the RHB Cash Management Fund 2 offered in FundSuperMart?

Comparing the recent rates vs Philip Master Money Market, quite on par.

I deposited on 28th Jan 2020 till now, my annualised return is about 2.8% p.a.

or is it easier to open account in Philip Mutual?
*
I think 2.8% is still better than the current promo FD rate. But only if the rate is consistent over then past months.

However, after deducted the management fee and annual fee is it still better than the FD rate?

When you buy with FSM, do you still require to open account with the participating bank/financial company offering the fund?

May I ask buying PMMMF require to open a brokerage account with Philip mutual or any CDS account is fine?

The website mention can open an account online and fund the MMF using bank transfer to the designated account. Yet, I cannot find their online account page.

No brokerage or CDS account needed.
All you need to do is go to https://www.eunittrust.com.my/Home/Index, click "Open an Account"

Thanks for both of your reply.

Yes, I saw the information in Philip Mutual page.

For the eunittrust, what are the charges for investors to use the platform to buy fund besides the charges by the fund itself.

try this?
Online Sales Charge
https://www.eunittrust.com.my/Home/FundCharges

also if you are concern of the sales charges and if you are not in a hurry to buy one...periodically they have 0% Sc promo
*
ok, just to clarify, the page does not stated the amount of each charges but do they no have charges to investor and just a remainder to investor that all fund have charges (exclude promotion)?

For the charges by the fund itself, we need to refer to the fund sheet attached in the platform or from the fund company website.

FD promo cannot remove early.
2.4% is already nett fees.

Some money market fund already beat FD promo.

Are you refer to the Philip mmf?

Here is the FFS for Affin Hwang Enhanced Deposit Fund (target fund for Versa).

https://nadiablob.blob.core.windows.net/fun...FFFS_EDFHCF.pdf

If you want to buy directly from Affin Hwang, the min II is RM 10k.
Interestingly to find out this fund is also EPF-MIS approved.
*
This fund is distributing the profit/interest yearly instead of monthly right?

Based on their 2020 distribution is just 1.8%, a bit lower than the Philips mmf.

the that link earlier...
can see the total returns in % of that fund in 1 month, 1 year, 3 years and since inception
can see the annualized returns in % of that fund in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years and since inception
can see the YTD, calendar returns for 2017, 2018 and 2019
*
When I see there is total returns and annualized return, I am a bit confuse which is the indicator that I should use.

Is there any website that I can view Public bank PUBLIC e-CASH DEPOSIT FUND past monthly interest distribution and latest purchase price of the day?

When we want to know the interest rate given by the mmf, we should refer to annual return or distribution per unit?

Here is the link of the fund:

Are you guys using Versa and Allocate Plus to buy the Affin Hwang Enhanced unit trust fund?

The return is in uptrend.

Any reason to buy this UT?

If you will want Phillip can get from official site. Scroll to the bottom.
It's 1.77%p.a
https://www.eunittrust.com.my/

Now is SA simple vs Versa. Let's see who will win.

I think already past the cut off date/time to process the deposit. They did send an email to notify users on that

Today cutoff time is 12pm.

Here is their notice:
Dear Users,
Due to Hari Raya Aidilfitri ☪️ , there will be an early cut-off time in processing your deposit and withdrawing funds. The cut-off time for 12 May 2021 (Hari Raya Eve) is revised to 12 pm.
Please be reminded that any transactions made after 12 pm on that day will be processed on the next business day 17 May 2021. (To those who are depositing or whose deposit is in process, you’ll still be earning Overnight Interest) 😊
We apologize for any inconvenience

Haven’t yet as the switch only starting on 25th weekend  doh.gif
The goal of MMF is liquidity hence most idiots are debating over 0.001% which minisicule unless it is million dollar injection

Versa by far consistency with liquidity gains outperform the returns easily

Be aware that AMIncome has bonds in it hence it can go downhill anytime but with SA pledge to maintain 2.4% it is a small reassurance but it will be temporary move by SA till they find a better Shariah fund  rclxms.gif

Any reasonse why SA simple change from Eastspring to amincome fund?

rate seems tempting as they have a promotional rate of 3%
but they didn't post out what are they investing so that holds me back

worrying that they investing in some kind of short term bond or CP which impose risk
seems no info despite I got mine activated and logged in to check

I am interested to know about KID Save and Invest.

If "purely" compare to get higher interest, maybe SSPN, ASNB or EPF are better, disregard the withdrawal rules and interest availability.

Do they mention about the withdrawal timeline?

Also need to clarify with the Fixed return of 3% during promotional period.

3% is for the KDI Save, no management fee for KDI Save.

The management fee charged is only for KDI Invest.

Just clarify on the compounding. As long as we do not withdraw from KID Save then it is still compounding based on the said interest. Am I right?
