PMMMF is on homepage.

Thanks @Ramjade.
On FSMOne, seems like currently the best performing money market fund is Pacific Cash Fund (referring to 1-month & 3-month returns). They are invested 100% in deposits. But seems like their performance is slightly better than PMMMF. Is there any catch that I may have missed? NOtice PCF's volatility is slightly higher as well.

The downside is depo and withdraw is taking too long and u lost interest per day due to that slowness

May I ask buying PMMMF require to open a brokerage account with Philip mutual or any CDS account is fine?

The website mention can open an account online and fund the MMF using bank transfer to the designated account. Yet, I cannot find their online account page.

No brokerage or CDS account needed.
All you need to do is go to https://www.eunittrust.com.my/Home/Index, click "Open an Account"

Thanks for both of your reply.

Yes, I saw the information in Philip Mutual page.

For the eunittrust, what are the charges for investors to use the platform to buy fund besides the charges by the fund itself.

ok, just to clarify, the page does not stated the amount of each charges but do they no have charges to investor and just a remainder to investor that all fund have charges (exclude promotion)?

For the charges by the fund itself, we need to refer to the fund sheet attached in the platform or from the fund company website.

if you mean PMMMF, then refer to post 28.....
there is a link to the factsheet....as that fund is from Phillip

for other funds...i think should refer to the website,.....before you buy they "should" display the charges to be incurred.
as the Factsheet is by the FH...thus the SC printed "should" be for general use and may not applies to buying from eunittrust

Hi all,

I have some questions.

Recently, FD rates are low now. It is a good investment to consider money market fund since it is low fees as compare to other types of unit trust fund and waiting time to withdraw is probably about 2 days with no charges.

The typical return to investor is 6 months or one year based on the NAV at that time.

Does my understanding correct?

Will it be the return for money market fund will lower than banks FD promo rate about 2.80%?

I completely agree. Now is a good time to consider investing in a good money market fund for safety purposes. They're less risky and provide a decent return. See this article for more information: https://growthrapidly.com/money-market-funds/

Why now given OPR is on the downward trend?
Return on money market fund is not affected by OPR trend?

No money market fund will beat FD promos. Especially now with so low FD rates. To earn the 0.5 percent Management Fees they need to climb up to 3.25% compared to the 2.75% Bank Rakyat offers. Thats almost 20%, no fund manager can do this with zero risk MYR papers.

FD promo cannot remove early.
2.4% is already nett fees.

Some money market fund already beat FD promo.
