hi guys, recently my processor Q6600 damn hot, the temperature 58C-61C......why suddenly will become like this ? is it the cream finish problem or i need to buy a heatsink ? if need to buy a heatsink, i planned to buy a zalman 8700 LED heatsink. what you guys think ?

no need to buy the 8700 zalman unless u use for stock speed. i owned it b4 n really frustrating me. even core 2 duo it cant handle the heat. core 2 quad sweat.gif

how about the CCF or red scorpion? i heard the cooler is efficient tho.

If you're getting Xigmatek product, suggest you get Xigmatek Dark Knight. The package already included with Crossbow Kit (Spring & Screw kit like Thermalright stuff)

what could be wrong on setting,i cant get stable prime test from my setting 5.5.5.15 1066mhz @ 2:3 ratio,had tried bumping alittle of north bridge, PLL, clockgen voltage, cpu voltage.

tried already but useless,tried 1:1 ratio cant stable at fsb400 with multiplier x8,reboot once run prime test

safest of coz stock.
but if u're asking bout safe limit, best is < 1.5.
dat shud get u somewhere around 3.4 - 3.6GHz
