QUOTE(uzairi @ Apr 10 2009, 02:49 PM)
On air it should be able to clock at 3.6ghz, but the temps are gonna be crazy. Vcore would be around 1.45v-1.55v i suppose, i need 1.45v to stabilize my q6600 with LinX and IBT.
*
I will never dare to try my Q6600 3.6Ghz on air and load it with IBT tongue.gif
Bro uzairi, wanna go for it ?

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Apr 10 2009, 04:28 PM)
I supose temp is somewhere in 85 C load with air?
On liquid maybe hmmmm 70 C laugh.gif
Prime lar
*
Erm, mine is around 62 on liquid with prime.

QUOTE(pl4tinum @ Apr 10 2009, 05:14 PM)
But seriously the temps you achieve on programs are mainly for the purpose of testing stability right? Under normal operation you will seldom reach such temperatures right?
*
You'll need to stressed it to prove that it's good for 24/7 use, to me stressed test is to push the rig to an extreme condition, if it survived, then it is more than enough to stable for normal use.

QUOTE(uzairi @ Apr 10 2009, 05:47 PM)
My q6600 3.6ghz@1.45v load with WC around 55c-60c

Yeah i also found that under normal circumstances you will almost never achieve the temperatures you get from using programs like p95 or IBT. So i'm thinking because my Proc is somewhat of a hotter batch then maybe i can try to get it to 3.2 and test for stability first. 2-3 Hours at high 70 degrees shouldn't be that dangerous for the Proc right? tongue.gif

That is still ok bro, try pushing the proc at 3.6ghz using 400x9 and 450x8 and see how it scales with voltage brows.gif
