Erm, I got a not very good 1.325VID Q6600 that does 3.6@1.5v, but it's on WC, not air, so can't really tell if it's possible on air.

IMO, I don't think a 1.325VID 6600 can do 3.6 by just using air, apparently mine became power hungry after 3.4, it takes a huge jump to make it 3.6 tho......but still if you got a great piece, then should be different story

Hmm, perhaps I can do that if I still have my Q6600. If remember correctly, I tried to hit 3.6 on air before, but just too hot to be stable. Anyway, maybe that's just me. Cheers smile.gif

QUOTE(uzairi @ Apr 10 2009, 02:49 PM)
On air it should be able to clock at 3.6ghz, but the temps are gonna be crazy. Vcore would be around 1.45v-1.55v i suppose, i need 1.45v to stabilize my q6600 with LinX and IBT.

I will never dare to try my Q6600 3.6Ghz on air and load it with IBT tongue.gif
Bro uzairi, wanna go for it ?

Erm, mine is around 62 on liquid with prime.

But seriously the temps you achieve on programs are mainly for the purpose of testing stability right? Under normal operation you will seldom reach such temperatures right?

You'll need to stressed it to prove that it's good for 24/7 use, to me stressed test is to push the rig to an extreme condition, if it survived, then it is more than enough to stable for normal use.
