can any sifu kindly explain how this kind of 1 hour layover work?

won't there be risk of delay or missed flight?!
*
i took a two-hour layover flight at KLIA before from Pg to Taipei Taoyuan (Pg to KLIA1, KLIA1 to Taipei Taoyuan)

on that day, flight delayed by 1 hour due to heavy rain.

On the way to KLIA, heavy rain caused the pilot unable to land and he has to round and round somemore.

I think left 45 minutes for the connecting flight to depart ady sweat.gif

when we landed, we ran to the boarding terminal.

Luckily, it's just nearby within the same building in KLIA.

Everyone has already lined up but not yet enter the plane yet. So, I still have time to go toilet to pangsai before queueing up. laugh.gif

by the way, if the connecting flight is protected by the airline, u don't have to go through immigration.

Economy bags also can be hot tagged to make the connection.

Last time I did a short economy connection at SIN, they had ground staff holding a placard with my name on it upon arrival and they buggied me to the departure gate.

MAS flight to SIN 99% are B737
B737 luggage system are one by one drop in / unload, to Japan was A330 /A350 which is All luggage store into one Container and shipped into Aircraft. 100% your luggage won't follow you to Japan.

always have risk for flight delays, but at least the airline is responsible for putting you to the next available flight in such cases. PROVIDED you book the connecting flights in the same itinerary.

maybe check MAS website to see whether the luggage is checked-through (just checked-in luggage at Penang, then it will auto all the way to Japan)

for me no harm having a bit longer layover if possible. can chill a bit at the PPL lounge etc.

As I mention previous Post. Yes, your luggage will auto all the way to Japan but you had to pick up by next day. Because A330 / A350 using Cargo Box to put all luggage as I mention on Picture. Those luggage 1 hour early already done packing inside Cargo Box.

B737 / A320 Luggage load & Off load was individual one by one.......That why you saw on youtube , ground hadling staff throw your luggage biggrin.gif

Quick question: I'm taking KUL-SIN-NGO with layover at SIN. Do I need to fill up the SG Arrival Card?

No, Your Just follow the Transit Sign...you will still remain Airside, you won't go thru any Singapore Custom.
Unless you wan to out, Jalan Jalan on Jewel. Go thru Kastam.....Inside Singapore Soil....done jalan jalan....go thru kastam again

Thanks for the reply, man. Yeah did my research on SGAC website FAQ as well, and more or less same answer. Layover is just under 4 hours, I'll just catch some sleep or play some games.

hows the full speed? i rmb it was discussed in this thread before that somehow the speeds arent so great

but main thing is price. cause if its >RM115 ill just go with umobile's roaming. its price quite competitive, was checking klook and lazada and seems like similar or more exp than umobile's

Didn't do speedtest. Speed was ok for normal usage, upload pics to IG, apps, Google Maps.
Pricewise depends on duration and quota that you want, 1GB per day was more than enough for me. I just got the sim from Happy Travel Sim for my upcoming trip. 7 days 1 GB per day at RM22 after vouchers.
