QUOTE The government is seeking to boost domestic tourism by subsidizing a portion of travel expenses once the coronavirus outbreak is brought under control. The ¥1.35 trillion ($12.5 billion) program could start in July if novel coronavirus infections subside soon, Hiroshi Tabata, chief of the agency, told a news conference Wednesday. japantimes I hope this can happen sooner |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Oct 4 2022, 01:24 PM) No news, based on my daily witness live from Haneda Airport. Currently Haneda Airport Arrival don't have any low cost airlines. Those low cost airlines from S.Korea, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia & Malaysia all gone. All shifted to Narita. i think skymark still based there? really hope aa will continue to fly there as I have several thousands voucher to use, Narita abit too far. |

QUOTE(michaelchang @ Oct 8 2022, 04:40 PM) Arrival. 1 day after Japan opening. Submit all required digital documents via MySOS app. How you upload the vaccine? I just realised that vaccine cert downloaded from mysejahtera did not include booster.Got blue screen = everything required verified and accepted by Japanese authorities. (3 dose of Sinovac = accepted) |

QUOTE(michaelchang @ Oct 10 2022, 08:04 AM) Should be correct, downloaded pdf has 2 pages, but the 2nd page for booster just a blank page. I thought it was normal for booster not showing until your reply, checked with my friends, they all have complete pdf cert. I used the help button to complaint, let's see how soon they will respond. |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 10 2022, 12:12 PM) I beg to differ. Early February is when the whole of Hokkaido comes alive with it's snow festivals. A lot of shows, ice exhibitions and events are held during this period. It is also the best period for skiing as the slopes is at its peak and best conditions. Hotel prices are also at its peak because this the period which draws most vistiors to Hokkaido. Went there during February once and had a great time there .No issue on public transportation because I drove. Drove from Chitose to Hakodate to Niseko and back to Sapporo. FYI there is no need for chains as current new generation of winters tires are good enough for these kind of conditions. This! I think February is the best month for us, tourist from tropical country to experience the winter! The only issue would the below freezing temperatures. Once it was -15 Degrees at a night out in Lake Shikotsu. So proper heat tech inner wear is key. I was there in 2020 and had the chance to visit sapporo snow festival, otaru snow path, shikotsu ice festival, lake akan ice festival and abashiri drift ice festival. I only use public transport for all the attractions, no need to self drive. |

Guys, just checking if anyone had experience taking AA into Haneda lately, how's the immigration crowd? Manage to catch the last train into city? I booked airport hotel but very expensive, so thinking if doable I want head to city. landed Narita T2 last month, it looks me almost 2 hours to clear immigration n customs😇

QUOTE(kirakun @ Apr 30 2025, 05:11 PM) Flew to Narita end of last year. Flight arrive in the evening 7pm and clearing the immigration in less than an hour. Did visit japan my QR code in advance though. That helps a lot as there is a dedicated line for those that have the code ready. Once out of immigration, luggage already on the belt so just collect and go. Managed buy the ticket and hop on the express train heading to Ueno around 8 something. I landed T2 at 1800, qr or not all mixed together, except custom part they separate n slightly faster than paper. |

QUOTE(HumanExtinction @ May 1 2025, 03:27 PM) 2 days ago i flew back from haneda to kl and noticed a lot of ppl arriving cause now golden week... also depends on when you go too i guess. when i arrived back in feb immigration very smooth, less than 10 mins already out from the airport. thanks for the info. checked flightradar also, AA mostly ontime but quite few flights will land during that period. Bit risky, I guess will just keep the booking, sleep at the airportthe AA i took was delayed from arriving from kl to haneda, hence when i back need to wait until 2.30am... the plane arrived at 1 am. you can check the history here: https://www.flightaware.com/live/flight/XAX522 ![]() |
