Hi bro, yes it was great! Kamikochi was one of the best highlights in the trip

You can get the round trip bus ticket from Takayama Nohi bus terminal, it’s a 7 day open ticket, meaning you can do the trip within 7 days but once you start you need to complete the return on the same day
You can hop on and off the bus from hirayu onsen to Kamikochi

Beautiful walk but make sure you take the longer route to myojin bridge and take the shorter route back, we regretted taking the opposite because the longer route has more to offer

When you going bro? It was a bit cold when we went a couple of weeks back

Thank for the trip bro. Sounds like you have lots on fun.

Will be going in October, cant wait biggrin.gif

Yeah it was great, we walked a lot, based on apple health app, it averages to about 11km/day and the most was Kamikochi, I think it was 10-12km just within that national park

I attached a photo I took from Nohi bus station, you can do quite a lot of side trips from Takayama.

Did u do the kurobe gorge train ride? Highly recommended. It is one of highlights beside kamikochi. There's one highway scenic route into mountain pass ( poor memory can't rmbr, 5yrs ago)

Just do research on short term apartment renting cause I will be staying in more than a month

Sakura house - so far this one has the fairest price as it includes everything such as utility bills and cleaning fees. If additional person is staying in the apartment will need to add on another 20k yen. The only con is that some of the apartments are quite small and may not be comfortable for 2 people. Luckily the one that I found has a single bed and a loft which can use futon to sleep. Otherwise, one person may need to sleep on the bed and another on the floor. This one need to pay 15% of the price and the rest will need to pay when you arrive there since you will need to take the house key from their office. Also, some of their apartment has a bit of walking distance from the station so there's that. Just beware that the 15% is not refundable, but if there's any flight delay, cancellation or rescheduled that 15% deposit can be used on other apartments and they can hold the apartment for you as well.

Oakhouse - not really sure about this one but if im not mistaken, may need to pay utility bills and maintenance fees. Did not email the company since not a lot of apartments left from them.

sumyca - For this one, a lot of the apartment sure look nice but the fees on the website are a bit misleading. According to the staff which i emailed, the price stated on the website does not include cleaning fees, utility bills and some other things. Also, this one will need to make a one time payment when you want to confirm the apartment. The refund policy is not that great as well. I don't really find a lot of reviews for the company as well so I'm a little bit skeptical. This one use automatic check in which the staff will provide you the password 2 days before your arrival. Another thing about some of the apartments of this company is that the apartment use pocket wifi so beware if someone before you use large data consumption you will practically ends up with no wifi at the house.

There are a few more which I have researched but so far most are a miss.

For those of you who are in Tokyo and wants to try decently priced wagyu yakiniku, should try Uguisudanien near Ueno.

All that in the picture plus Asahi beer costs around 8000 yen. The best cuts are the special rump and special thick tongue - both needs to be reserved in advance. The rump just melts in your melt with bursting umami and sweetness; the plum sauce goes well as it balance out the heavy flavours.

Need reservation for the place and book the special dishes that ran out fast.

Meat looks like A3 quality. 8,000 Yen fair enough. A5 quality will be starting at 20,000 Yen

Possibly since it’s a local joint that caters to more casual diners. Still very amazing taste for that price point.

Just a quick question, do we still need to fill it up visit japan page? If I am not mistaken I no longer need to uplaod my sejatera vaccination cert right?

Also is there any recommendation for baggage forwarding service from Haneda Airport to hotel in Narita?

Planning to visit Tokyo before retiring the night in Narita before flight next day in the morning.

I cant find the last bus to Narita, the latest I can find is at 830 departing from Tokyo Station.

Likewise same goes to train too.

Japan already no longer need any vaccination cert. Even a person without single shot also can entering Japan. Everythng back to 2010. Pre-Covid era.

Narita bus web: https://tyo-nrt.com/en
Website got timetable. Last bus depart from Tokyo Station to Narita Airport was 1730

Baggage handaling in Japan normally sent to Hotel. It won't sent Airpor to Airport due to bomb / drug. Security reason.

HND Terminal to hotel. Yes. You can try Yamato Transport. They do have counter at HND
Train to Narita until 10pm. You can take JR NEX from Tokyo Station to Narita Terminal OR From UENO to Narita Terminal with Keisei Skyliner (Mini Shinkansen)

Standard Arrival & departure form

You can request for the immigration and custom forms from the air stewardess just like the pre covid days. Not sure if the web version covers everything

Ah okay, The visit japan itself is actually carbon copy of what the brown form was.

Last year once leave the plane there would be a group of staff that would ask you to prepare the webpage before arrive into immigration counter.

Last month there were only staff to direct people on how to queue towards the immigration in Haneda airport, they have posters on the wall asking to prepare the QR code for fast track, there were a lot of people still filling in paper forms

Now no more fast track & QR. If you show QR or fast Track, you will instruct to write in form. Means you need Q up again after writing form. biggrin.gif
