Taking Vietnam Airlines from Nagoya Chubu Airport to Malaysia. Saw air asia 1 way from KIX to KL already cost rm 1k without luggage and meal, but VN cost RM 1.18k from Nagoya. Since Nagoya is more convenient for this trip hence probably will take this airlines instead. Transit 1 hr at Hanoi so overall 9 hours so not too bad though

BTW i booked this air asia to KIX during promo at RM 500+, going backpacking with less clothes and gonna shop there esp GU outlets and return to KL with hauls😬
Went Japan few times and clothes GU never disappointing. Although I prefer clothes in Korea range rm15-40 back on year 2014 more quality and still wearable until now, GU clothes more variety with same quality as Uniqlo but cheaper.

You can get the round trip bus ticket from Takayama Nohi bus terminal, it’s a 7 day open ticket, meaning you can do the trip within 7 days but once you start you need to complete the return on the same day
You can hop on and off the bus from hirayu onsen to Kamikochi

Beautiful walk but make sure you take the longer route to myojin bridge and take the shorter route back, we regretted taking the opposite because the longer route has more to offer

Leg room is plentiful, more if not same as MAS economy.

If you don't mind staying a night in Manila, its actually a very good deal if you manage to get its tickets.

Airport relatively close to Pasay (Mall of Asia, Newport casinos etc).

But do note that the airport terminal is not walkable to newport, need to take grab.
For PAL, I had WiFi free onboard, wasn't fast, but enough to text.

Right now Vietnam Airlines and Philippines Airlines have been selling seats for cheap for full service airlines, but between PAL and VNA, I prefer PAL.

No delays from them so far (small 5 - 10 minutes adjustments few weeks before flight), but VNA has been readjusting time by the hours (1-3 hours adjustments to original flight time).

Their flights with layover in Taiwan usually is cheaper than their direct flights

Hi All, I will be going to Nagoya-Osaka-Kyoto on April 3rd-12th.

Basic itinerary will be as below:

3/4/24 Wed - Touch down Nagoya 930am, direct go to Osaka by shinkansen.
4/4/24 Thursday - Full day in Universal Studios Osaka. (is Thursday the least peak period of the week?) And any special holiday on 4/4/2024 that may cause it to have higher crowd? I wish to enjoy as many rides as possible with less queue.
5/4/24 Friday - Full day Nara (train from Osaka)
6/4/24 Saturday - Half day Osaka, then train to Kyoto in evening
7/4/24 Sunday - Full day Kyoto
8/4/24 Monday - Early morning Arashiyama bamboo forest, hoping to avoid crowds on a Monday. Then Sagano romantic train. Travel back to Nagoya before evening.
9-12/4/24 Tuesday - Friday - 4D3N in Nagoya city (and maybe Takayama and Shirakawago)

So total of 9 nights, 3 is in Osaka, 2 in Kyoto, 4 in Nagoya. I planned my trip around the USJ and Arashiyama, hoping to get the least crowd. Please let me know if this plan works.

any reason to stay at takayama over shirakawago other than the price and more choices? also the reason why i was not thinking of toyama is because I dun think i can handle the diy to alpine route with all the visitors - prefer a bit more chill. that being said guided tours via klook only depart from nagano.

the accommodations i book all have free cancellation. so still can adjust if needed to.

Takayama got alot restraurant, snack, cafe & Onsen.  Proper little town. Shirakawago got nothing, basically nothing. Dinner cooked by accomodation, once dinner done, That it, Ends, no more entertaiment, outside pitch black, nothing...no cafe, no restraurant, no entertaiment. If you like quiet, chill, super boring enviroment. Then can overnight at Shirakawago.

I have purchased Malaysia Airline ticket for my flight to Narita Airport.
On the 4th day, I have booked Jetstar to fly from Narita to Sapporo.
On the 10th day, I plan to take Thai Airway from Sapporo to KL.

However when booking the Jetstar ( via Agoda ) and Thai Airway ( their website ) , they did not ask to key in our passport or ID number.

Please advise whether the airline will allow me to board the flight without my ID being reflected in their system.

when u take PAL, make sure the transit time is enough, heard that 2 hours transit is also abit dangerous, cause Manila Airport is super disorganised.

if the difference is like super small, better be safe, fly another airline. save up in thru other methods.

back then after covid, before global open. i think PAL was charging almost only RM 800 for a return ticket. good value!

MNL airport is very dis-organised from what I watch on YT, anyways just go airport early la to be safe!
