If Aircraft landed using Runway 23
AirAsia X to Haneda. No chances. 90% no way you can hop into last train. Unless you very experience in Haneda airport, you memorized whole building layout.
Limousine bus is the only option.

If Landing using Runway 22
60% you will missed the last train.

If you lucky, Landed on Runway 34L
70% you can get last train.

Runway 34R
100% no chance. Runway 34R normally exclusive for ANA domestic flight, because near to Terminal 2. If control tower buat hal.....34R....lol!!! 30 minute taxing from runway to international terminal gate.

Pray to God, hope the wind direction allow you get Runway 34L

Example:
You arrived Haneda on 5 May 2023 11pm. ...ding dong ding dong......you missed the last train and take Taxi to Shinagawa.
If you booked the Hotel on 5 May 2023....yes you still able to checked in even at 12 / 1am @6 May 2023 morning.

If you booked Hotel at 6 May 2023.....then your checked in Time will be 2pm. No point get a taxi to Tokyo City, might well hang around inside Haneda Airport until 5AM & take 1st train to Shinagawa.

All-you-can-eat Japanese beef hall Akihabara Meat shop Yokocho

i seen a few video recommending this place. But review says sometimes they have less selection for the meat. Around 5000-6000 yen.

The place you’ve suggested seems refine.

A more commercialised and mid range place with good cuts is Han-no-daidokoro bettei in Shibuya. Haven’t tried the lunch set but had dinner there with the most amazing Yamagata wagyu.

I’m visiting Uguisudanien next week. Casual yakiniku place with a medium plate of wagyu starting from 1500 yen only. Decided to try as many local and foreign reviewers said it’s one of the most cost effective place with quality meat.

thanks for some suggestions ...

since I'm travelling solo, I also need to look for solo friendly eateries ...

most that I found, it starts with 2 pax minimum and hard to get reservation (needs JP phone number)

You can buy ticket on spot but you had to reach Arashiyama at 7am. Cannot make it at 7am then pre book thru klook with extra service charge.

You can book Sagano scenic train direct from JR west
https://www.sagano-kanko.co.jp/en/reserve.php

Remember to redeem the tickets from machines in JR Saga Arashiyama station, not the Torokko stations. I redeemed the tickets from the above station, walk into bamboo forest and took the Sagano train from torokko arashiyama to kameoka station. After that walked to JR Umahori and took the JR train back to Saga Arashiyama because I have JR pass

You don’t need to go that early right if you can reserve a seat?

Hi bro, yes it was great! Kamikochi was one of the best highlights in the trip

You can get the round trip bus ticket from Takayama Nohi bus terminal, it’s a 7 day open ticket, meaning you can do the trip within 7 days but once you start you need to complete the return on the same day
You can hop on and off the bus from hirayu onsen to Kamikochi

Beautiful walk but make sure you take the longer route to myojin bridge and take the shorter route back, we regretted taking the opposite because the longer route has more to offer

When you going bro? It was a bit cold when we went a couple of weeks back

Taikor, thanks for your help and advice, else will derail even more laugh.gif

We managed to stick to most of the plan up until Osaka, meaning Tokyo sky tree, makuhari area, odaiba emerging science museum, the snow monkey, snow wall, ainokura/shirakawago, Kamikochi, takayama, Osaka aquarium, nara all good!
it’s the last week, Kyoto onwards which went pear shape a bit due to weather
We started late in Kyoto as it was raining thus only went to silver pavilion and fushimi inari, but it was already sunset so we didn’t go all the way up the hill

The next day we went bamboo forest and Sagano train and golden pavilion, spent too much time travelling and queuing so missed kiyomizu dera

Then hemiji castle we only managed to go up the main building and missed the other side which I think is the living quarters cos we didn’t want to reach Tokyo too late

Lake Kawaguchiko we didn’t analyze the map carefully and bought the red route, the cable car wasted a lot of time queueing and nothing much to see, the boat ride was good though. If we took the blue/green route, we would have been able to visit the other lakes as well. And mistake as we didn’t go up Chureito bangwall.gif

Not enough time for shopping…
