Since I from Maxis to Unifi, they had to move my fiber to new DB (black)

Good news, I no longer under dumb Nokia OLT , I have double check what OLT, it just Generic OLT (conformed from D-Link ONR, Realtek Stick, Intel Stick)



Speedtest:



I help the technician which D-Link ONR Speedtest didn't show TM server,
so I plug my PON Stick and speedtest inside VM and use these screenshot as proof

Now plan to find good ATA and Desktop SIP Phone, new thread will created.

Your Maxis not on TM infra? Just curious about moving the fibre to another DB.

My Maxis is on TM infra, they move it because line capacity

@anime4000 your rb5009 is not POE edition right? Have you seen one, is it hotter?

Yea, mine just normal RB5009 (non-POE), so far not hot even without putting fans

My Mikrotik Graphs show a visible ISP upgrade, constant 50Mbps upload to ~200Mbps upload


About VoIP, I check the D-Link has option as RG Router (disable PON), LAN 1 as WAN, but when I tried, also disable build-in VoIP functionality and use LAN 3 as VoIP bridge...

I finally figure it out how to re-use D-LINK DPN-FX3060V as ATA (Analogue Telephone Adapter)

wow before you told me you unifi is 300Mbps so you already to again upgrade 2GBPS ???
mine SWU 3.0 RM119 500Mbps so i wait glitch come 800Mbps lol
2GBPS over RM3xx that not worth so i can wait i know tm will offering like SWU 4.0 OR whatever they offering next year or 2025 lol

I was on Maxis back then, 300Mbps upgraded to 500Mbps
my experience with Maxis:

Pros:
1. No Ports get blocked, eg: 6667/tcp

Cons:
1. Extra RM10 for public ip address
2. Public IPv4 has 14 days lease, PPPoE disconnect at wrong time
3. International Route, especially to Japan is bad has to use hezaika TIME to rerouted

I want 2Gbps because a lot of things, especially troubleshooting PON Stick

My Maxis bill before was ~RM400, so I allocate Unifi 2Gbps more and downgrade my postpaid plan,

I realised, I don't need Unlimited Data 😅 average data I use ~60GB

mine was before maxis postpaid plan 128 70GB i can't finish 70GB LOL i don't need unlimited data due speed slow if Qouta 70GB speed always faster lol

now my bro changed celcom pospaid RM98 60GB speed super bad and voice call distort sound sometime and bad line
Maxis call super quality voice clean HD then celcom pospaid poor quality

my 2Gbps has two months rebate, particular TM agent can give this offer since they know me doing PON Stick and TM know I solve the ONT issue

even TM Installer using speedtest.net and tm speedtest results as proof of installation completed.

So, TM know me that can solve Unifi 2Gbps, user can improve their equipment by using PON Stick.

my fiber moved from ALCL (Nokia) to NGN/NGBB (Next Gen Network/Next Gen Broadband), thus the OLT VendorId I got is Generic (0x00)

this mean, NGN/NGBB has potential to be upgraded to XG/XGE/XGS/10G PON or 50G PON ZTE/Nokia if lab testing has been finalised


this is very reason that TM held back 2.5G ONT/ONR for Unifi, rather than staying on GPON, TM plan to upgrade the NGN/NGBB OLT and give 10G PON ONT/ONR with 2.5GbE

When? I don't know, maybe 2025 as you said, Unifi on 10G PON, Maxis/Other ISP on GPON

tm agent helped you give this offer 2gbps RM2xx right or RM1xx ?

My Maxis contact end at little late, I apply after new price in placed.
so, I didn't get 289 for 2Gbps sadly.

only special TM agent can offer to me is 2 month rebate, at least better than walk in TM point which didn't give any offer from switched user.

if I keep staying with Maxis, same price as Unifi, add RM10 for Public IPv4

just two months rebate, meaning Year January 2024 start paying the bill as usual.

is there any TM-Maxis that apply 2Gbps? swap your Skyworth ONT with PON Stick 2.5GbE, I want research that ONT! the WebGUI a lot look like V2801F!

that would be on NGN/NGBB 10G PON in the future, everyone also waiting for it.

This is just a rumors:
I heard someone (internal) that TM experimenting XGS/XG PON on NGN (Next Gen Network) or NGBB (Next Gen Broadband)
This mean, TM held back the 2.5GbE ONT/ONR for Unifi customer (as user can upgrade themself via PON Stick that I supply)

After I moved to Unifi 2Gbps, as TM Installer change DB from White (old) to Black (NGN/NGBB)
Then, OLT Vendor Id from 0x414c434c (ALCL) to 0x00 (Generic)

Then I test Intel Lantiq based PON Stick, then I got this issue:

The upload speed is stuck

I test again at other place, check upload speed is stuck or not

apparently the Upload speed just fine,

With this said (Italy guy):


Then I ask someone (internal) what OLT brand that use on NGN/NGBB,


it was Huawei, that's confirmed what Italy guy said: Intel Lantiq based PON Stick have Upstream Queue issue with newer Huawei (firmware) OLT

the Intel Lantiq based PON Stick can detect fiber was on NGN/NGBB or not

it's time to find and start experiment XGS/XGPON Stick, see if TM already deploy or not activated or XGS/XGPON Card not installed
