My next GPON ONU SFP with my own modified firmware with Unifi, this should be have a stable connection no matter what OLT is set, I copied some D-Link ONR into this. So, TM no reason to.

this should be safe to use on Unifi

for TIME, this weekend I go to friend house and test there, replacing old realtek PON Stick with new one

WebGUI is build on top of Bootstrap 5 (no jquery) some what similar to OpenWRT LuCI

it took quite a long time as part time modding it.

---

Managed to pull Interface Speed as this GPON Stick will be run on standard router/mesh where cannot add second NAT to access, quick way to look what SFP mode is use.

Also able to manipulate VLAN Forward Operation for troublesome OLT giving wrong mapping, by default it bridge everything, for untagged traffic like Allo, might need adjust some.

Upload issue should be fixed, stable as other GPON Stick.

After long time doing some 'research' and integrating D-Link ONR into SFP since both use same SDK, just to make it safe to use on Unifi, also other ISP

Then updating WebGUI is daunting tasks, I need to make sure no user error, wrong syntax scripts, etc just to make sure no bricking the SFP
I changed from Ubuntu style background colour to dark blue, now WebGUI has modern look and follow HTML5 standards!

Show case:

Currently I am using the my own firmware on my own, to test if any issue arised.

Unfortunately my friend hezaika at Sri Damansara (Who use TIME) not home, postponed next week.

I want to know what Forward Operation is used on TIME bruce.gif

Firmware Development Update,
I noticed that D-Link ONR updated to V1.1.0, so I had to update my GPON Stick as well,

In mean time, why not add more ONU and switch what ever possible 🤣

several of my customer manage to get VoIP working, also manage to make PABX to work too

setup is simple,
Phone Number
Username with @ims.tm.com.my
Password of 6 digit

No need to modify User-Agent like Maxis

works most any VoIP/SIP Desktop Phone

you can get VoIP password on D-Link ONR via F12, type="password" to type="text"

You mean just buy a new set of SIP cordless phone for use?
it should be very expensive for home usage?

I may still buy ATA to test first..since it should be the easily way without changing current cordless phone..

ATA is cheaper than SIP Phone,

perhaps test bridge VLAN 400 to PC and use MicroSIP like I did with Maxis VoIP (without adjusting User-Agent)

TR069 also can push Firmware Update, but I couldn't get it
perhaps the Firmware is pretty much Encrypted.

Reading the SPI flash memory directly also can't detect by binwalk to find rootfs and kernel partition, also Encrypted.

i not sure what change, I interested on Proprietary OMCI Table
and stash away the D-Link ONR after gather all files

Curious for VoIP setup on Unifi, we just need an IP phone with the credentials in, and connect to any available LAN port or a bridged VoIP LAN port? Only thing keeping me from getting rid of the D-Link ONR is just sometimes my parents call in thru the landline if they can’t reach my siblings on phone, removing it would probably cause inconvenience from time to time

So I have three DFP-34X-2C2 sticks. Two of them are the old ones (v03) with the external heatsinks glued to them. And the other one is the new one (v06) without the external heatsinks but with some kind of embedded heatsink on it. They both have the same latest 220923 firmware and I used the same ISP foc to check the running temps and Rx power of both and this is what I get:

v03:

v06:

So my questions are:

1. Is this normal with the new version or did I get a defective stick?
2. Why is there a difference in Rx power? I thought that's dictated by the OLT far-end device? For reference, the Rx power reported by my Huawei (ISP-provided) ONT is around -15dBm. So the old version of the SFP stick is close to this value.

Thoughts?

My reference board similar to V06 what I been told, optical reading same as non-Realtek Stick
user posted image

High RX reading could be different Photodiode/Photodetector (PD) with high sensitivity for longer distance,
could be use on bad fiber like -27dB PON

So do I have to ask for a replacement for my new v06 DFP-34X-2C2 because of this issue? Or is the performance even better with this current state?

Do you not have a v06 DFP-34X-2C2 to test with?

you try, if both give same performance, which mean no need to worry...
it's not like copper, laser either have light or no light.

my reference board so far same as other stick...
I can't test it yet
