Hey guys,

user posted image

check out more of my E2160 OC screenshots !!!

3.0Ghz

3.25Ghz

at first i manage to bump my E2160 to 3.0Ghz !!! Stable !!! but after than i tried to go 3.33Ghz (which is FSB 370 X 9)... but my RIG won't boot !!!! so i lower down to 3.25Ghz and everything works fine. i'm using Kingston value ram 667 and everything AUTO. I also never touch my Vcore... Everything AUTO !!!

Before overclock, my 3Dmark 2006 shows 6800Marks, after overclock to 3.25Ghz, over 10000Marks !!!

Lucky im not the only one with E2160 ! now im happy to have u guys here in forum to discuss with !
A few questions

1. My Vcore set to auto but it is around 1.4V when 3.25Ghz OC... is this ok ? Any danger?
2. My Stock FAN is running at 3100rpm, CPU temperature 51 degree C under LOAD, is this good?
3. Im using Kingston Value DDR2 667Mhz RAM 2 X 1GB, is it possible to run at 800Mhz ??? any problems?

have a nice day !

The review from Tomshardware shown that 3.2GHz needs 1.5v already.

Usually for E2160 if 1:1 setting should be ok at 3.2(400x8) @ 44412/55515 (value ram). The ram also need at least 2.0vdimm.

Haha, just want to let him lower down the multiplier. If his ram cant go further then (356x9) should be ok then.

Hi guys,
Just got a 2140 and a Gigabyte P35 DS3L yesterday.
Anyhow, the 2140 vcore is supposedly 1.35 volt is that correct?
But mobo show show normal vcore hovering at 1.18.....so is that normal or what (default setting)?
Do I have to manually set it to 1.35 volt?

Edit:
I'm not sure I'm doing this right, please comment on it.
1) I lowered the ram multiplier to 2, so that a 667 runs at 400 (read some guide that you need to reduce the speed, because it will be increased linearly with cpu frequency)
2) Lowered the CPU multiplier from 8 to 7 (read somewhere that it is more stable to do so)
3) Increase CPU Host frequency slowly from 200

Is it true that a higher FSB is better even though the end result is the same?
Example:
7x350 better than 8x306?

Thanks.

mm..1.18? hmm.gif ..my mobo show normal vcore at 1.325v ..
but i dont think it will set exactly the same as what u set bios..
cuz when u get into bios try using cpu-z or any app. to read the vcore..
like mine..i set in bios to normal..but it show 1.28 using cpu-z
