can burn, why cannot? because the psu shorts out, there is a sudden surge of say, 24v @ 30A going to your 12v rail so in theory ur mobo and all ur components got fried with 720w of ram power =/

raptoxx does look kinda nice, duno how it performs though =/

Yesterday i clocked my E2160 to 3.25Ghz and running on Kingston 667 Value ram 2GB !!!! V core auto !!! 51 degree C during LOAD !!! (ORTHOS)

Think it's possible to be true. seems like no prob getting passed the >400fsb wall. stable or not, is another thing

what cooler are u using? and how about the ambient temps?

because if u set to auto, the vcore would be about 1.4 when u reach 3.2ghz

KVR DDR2 667 2GB OCing is normal la.

IMO if stock cooler then 51c is surely not possible.

cos my E2140 with optimized air-flow case + stock heatsink, full load at 25c room also reach close to 70c.

now change the cooler to Xigmatek S1283 + AC MX2, full load at 25c room also reach close to comes to around 51c.

I think it is becoz M0 stepping. If L2 stepping if reach 3GHz already need vcore increase over 1.4v

i got to 3.2ghz without having to set anything to the RAM.

before my BIOS patch, the 3:5 ratio and i ran the system at 2.2ghz with DDR2 667 running at 900 speed.

tick auto at memset

up ras# to cas# read delay to 6

lower Refresh cycle Time to 50

Leave Performance Level (fsb strap) for now

Write to precharge delay to 23

write to read delayed (tWTR) to 20




see if that helps, if it does, then keep upping the speed till u max out the processor at ur desired 2.7ghz and then only tweak the timings
