Thanks for your commet I agree with you, the colour is dull and uninteresting but not likely to change the template right now, cause my content layout will gone. I'm in the midst of creating a personal blog for myself

yeah i do notice there's some annoying sound when i plug in my headphone, some high pitch noise.
but my hdd produces a lot of noise as well, anyone having same problem?
not sure whether i'm having grainy screen problem or not, how can i determine it?

i bought this laptop for quite some time already, i think it's the 1st batch when dell came out with color surface.
didn't expect it to be so thick when i buy it. haha

have a question here,
if i am going to install windows xp in my 1520, then the next time if i am planning to change back to vista, i just need to set this 2 settings back to default right?

1 more question, i heard from my friend that his acer has a hidden partition in it, that partition is to recover vista, when startup he press alt + F10 then the laptop will automatically format and install vista plus the drivers. is there such thing?
is there such thing in dell laptop as well?

and 1 more thing i notice, there's some hidden partition, i wonder what are those partition for?

for dell only need to press F8 then we can activate the Dell PC Restore that you can see from D: RECOVERY
from the picture, 102MB is Dell Diagnostic. 2.50GB will be Dell MediaDirect.

Added on September 3, 2007, 12:54 pmI just check again the device manager on the system with fresh manufacture vista. confirm there is no infrared item/driver. i did try to send file via infrared, no response. Did you have any proof/manual show that the infrared able to transfer files? what kind of data you can send? are you sure last time send file via infrared or bluetooth?

ok, i found out that it only receive data from other device to 1520. Same like when u r using the remote control, it receive data from remote control when u press on it...

so if i am changing the OS into XP then do i need to reinstall Dell media direct again?
what should i do with it if i want the media direct to work in my XP?

What is media direct? I've never installed

i think it's the button beside your power button, that power button has a house logo on it.
it's something like a entertainment center.

hao, about the 163.44 version graphics update for geforce8600 i still facing the same problem after see the link u give me. not compatible or it says my windows is not 32bit finish google out but cant find any solution yet

by the way, after i reformatted my vista and change the partition and stuffs, i notice the blue tooth function was not included in the drivers. how did you guys turn it on after reformat your laptop? please do let me know k. thanks

Even after you replaced the original INF file with the modded INF file? Hmmmm... I think it's the driver problem since it's still in beta. No problem for me though.

haih, what to do, vista still not fixed yet...
