Are they serious with the pricing?
There is nothing special with the Galaxy S20. At least make that phone as affordable as when the S10e came out. It also had free Galaxy Buds and 1+1 warranty protection.

I'm quite sure the pricing will fall faster this time.

There are other other competitors out in the market. Oneplus would be one of them. The super exp pricing coupled with a less competent exynos chipset on board would not be a good choice for many. For the price of the Iphone , many would go for the fruitphone instead. Fruitphone is still a fruitphone.

Yeah bro. Got mine over the weekend from Senheng. I'll give it another two or three weeks before I come up with my final review but so far so good.

I will say this though: Once you've tried SD over Exynos, it's gonna be very, very difficult to go back.

So yeah, no go for me for Exynos powered Samsung phones for now.

I'm not surprise with the exynos. Just hope this new exynos 990 wont have big difference with sd865. Who knows?

But im more surprise Samsung MY decide to offer only 1 storage variant for all. They should bring in at least 256GB for s20 ultra.

There's already benchmarks of Exynos 990 online iinm.

Summary - its not gonna be on par with SD 865, not even close... it just manages to beat the 855+

But those are recorded on pre production models

I bet later they will bring in 512gb for s20/s20+ and also 16gb ram variant for s20 ultra.

I was excited to preorder this model but now i feel it’s wiser to wait, at least till roadshow promo. Free galaxy buds+ not really special pun. Later sure lots of people sell it off at cheaper price in garage sale.

Man the price and the lackluster pre-order bonus...What Samsung smoking? Are they too confident on their product or they thought since Huawei no GMS so they can do what ever they want?

There are 5G versions for both phones, but I’m not sure if they will ever be available in Malaysia.

Nothing official so far. Even Samsung Malaysia website don't mention which version they are going to release. 2 possibilities, they are still considering , or they did this purposely.

If they did this purposely, I would say it's a very bad practise. They did the same thing as well for the lite series. Never mention what the processor inside. Trying to confuse the buyers I guess?

If anyone have solid info (with links) regarding which version we are going to get in Malaysia, please let us know.

Note series freebies always better than S series

same here, other then camera and 120 refresh rate nothing special about it for me.somemoer 120 refresh rate only can support up to 1080p

Because R&D cost spent more S-series in the beginning of the year, and N-series will have the same hardware, tweaked a little for s-pen and enhance a little, and sell as a different device

Samsung's generally have better cameras, that I concur.

You still haven't got your buds yet? Don't lar go offer people Rm300 for the buds. Where can get at that price.

You are absolutely right bro. And I don't have the time and patience to be doing bug troubleshooting or posting guides on this anymore. I will just stay with "boringly predictable" which works out of the box with frequent updates pushed to the phones.

The only issue I have with Exynos devices is battery life.
It really drains a lot of power compared to SD.

can't decide between the + and the 5g. Is the 5g, battery and camera worth the extra 1k?

5G is future proof?! i have doubt how far we can go with 5g coverage.. i would like to have better 4g stability and good experience..

bigger battery capacity over here is to support higher refresh rate of display 120hz.. which not so important to me..

however, the main selling point in S20 ultra is 10x optical zoom.. whoever travel frequently and used to capture landscape will need it.. if normal photoshooting like foods, group of people, documents, you not even need 10x optical zoom.. but got extra is always better.. this is the concept of flagship compare with others.. i think its good to have some difference compare with midrange..

**5G vs your data quota currently that you're subscribed** if you have maxis fibre + unlimited data plan then it might be a good choice..

assuming 5G speed is really fast and stable in Msia, someone subscribed RM50 plan with 10~20gb data per month, accidentally click 1 youtube video, and video fully buffer and consume 100mb ady.. LOL

then telco need to revise their plan. its essential that the telco play along with the latest tech. no point going all about the good plans when u stream 1 min it consume 1gb d.

Even 4G still not mature enough in Malaysia, 5G is just a dream only for these two years.

It's already worth the extra 1k for the camera and battery.
5G itself is useless and these phones are draining so much battery since the 5G chip is separate from the SOC.
We are still in the early stage of 5G technology.

I feel that buying an S20 or S20+ is "just" the same as buying the Note10/Note10+ with minimal improvement in camera quality.
