5G is future proof?! i have doubt how far we can go with 5g coverage.. i would like to have better 4g stability and good experience..

bigger battery capacity over here is to support higher refresh rate of display 120hz.. which not so important to me..

however, the main selling point in S20 ultra is 10x optical zoom.. whoever travel frequently and  used to capture landscape will need it.. if normal photoshooting like foods, group of people, documents, you not even need 10x optical zoom.. but got extra is always better.. this is the concept of flagship compare with others.. i think its good to have some difference compare with midrange..

assuming 5G speed is really fast and stable in Msia, someone subscribed RM50 plan with 10~20gb data per month, accidentally click 1 youtube video, and video fully buffer and consume 100mb ady.. LOL

went to Samsung Flagship Store in The Gardens Mall, saw the poster for Pre-Order, but did not see any display unit of S20.

Cant fault them. If they were to sell the 512GB it would mean pricing the S20 Ultra at Rm5999. But its a no brainer that anyone who could afford to pay rm5k for an Ultra would want to do with 128gb.

TBH Emui on Android is not bad. Its much better than Samsung Experience in resource management, battery management and also gets updated more frequently.

Dual speaker? Hmmm, nice to have but I don't play game or watch movie over the phone. If I watch YouTube, it's almost earphone 100% of the time because don't wanna kacau my baby.
Wireless charging no, s7 edge I bought wireless pad and throw it away, not practical because have to keep putting my phone down.
IP rating, nice to have, on rare basis will drop my phone into water

I practically use my phone 24/7 for WhatsApp/email/chrome. My s7edge battery only can tahan 2-3 hours max.
My priority is battery, no lag. Use for office stuff. The last time I post photo to social media was like....5 years ago.

I think I do love spen due to work, but S10 Snapdragon seems good.

I wonder how many people think that the Malaysia's s20 and s20+ have 5G.

For some god damn reason Samsung Malaysia S20 page dont have a dedicated "Spec" page and most importantly a comparison page to clearly see the difference between all models.

I think this whole Snapdragon, Exynos chip superiority complex is blown out of proportion. I was like most users here. I bought the S10+. Battery wasn't great so I started scouring on forums to try to get it better. Found out I had an inferior chip, the infamous Exynos. Fast forward a few months later found a buyer, sold it and got the Note 10+. This time surprise surprise battery life was great. Great would be over exaggerating but it was way better than my S10+. I could easily get through a day of medium to high usage with about 20-30% left when i get home, where as my S10+ would've been dead few hours before I got home.

Fast forward a couple of months again (a few weeks ago) I got bored of the Note 10+ and put it up for sale. A guy with the Asus ROG Phone 2 texted me wanting to swap. I thought why not, considering all the good things I've heard about the Snapdragon and knowing it has 6000 mAh battery it must be a powerhouse. I decided to give it a go.

F*#$ me did I regret it.

It's not that the phone wasnt a powerhouse, it was. I heard so many good things about the SD processor that I imagined that I would see a night and day difference between those 2 when in fact, I couldn't. Sure the high refresh screen made everything smoother but that's about it. People boasted about getting amazing battery life. For me, I got equally great battery life from the Exynos Note 10+. To me there were no significant difference in terms of performance for MY day to day use. Im sure for the diehards out there who look at benchmarks and test scores there is a difference. But for the average consumer like me, you won't see any difference. I miss my note 10+. It was an amazing phone that I gave up cause I was swayed by the hype of Snapdragon. Don't be me. Don't be stupid.

I also used to think the whole Exynos vs Snapdragon argument was blown out of proportion.  I've owned every Samsung flagship since the S6 (with the exception of the S7 Edge and Note 7) and all of them performed adequately. I'm not a gamer as well so I probably wouldn't know about the superiority of the SD's GPU compared to the Exynos, so it's all good. But all of them had unusual battery drain especially overnight and when on idle. I initially thought it was an Android issue, but having tried other phones then I thought it was a Samsung issue. Samsung would not release a SD powered phone here officially and I would never buy one without official warranty so no harm, no foul. Ignorance is bliss! Then the S10 Lite was launched and out of curiosity I bought it to try, half expecting it to be not so different. I could not be more wrong. I went from 7-8% overnight battery drain to just 2% with all settings left on. Granted, the S10 Lite has a slightly bigger battery than the Note 10+ (4500mAh vs 4300mAh), but I'm getting some serious mileage from the S10 Lite which I can never achieve on any of my previous Samsung phones.

Also, my brief experience with the Note 10+ was even more frustrating as it had poor signal reception - worse than most midrange phones. Now on the same network and at the same locations, the reception on my S10 Lite is far better. So now that I've had the first hand experience for myself, I can see why most here would pick the SD over the Exynos if given a choice. I'd do the same.
I had the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 running on pure Android and it was alright. But yeah, the Asus ownership experience is not for everyone

I get that no one would intentionally damage the screen like that but to boast about having Ultra Thin Glass when it's clearly not glass....

But at the same time, we also should thank him for his "craziness". Because of him, a lot of phone issues were revealed and his videos did force those phone manufacturers to improve their products in future.

normal for amoled to show yellowish tint if screen mode set to natural instead of vivid? if set to vivid and white balance to cool seem okay.

mine seem yellowish compared to my old Mi A1 LCD.

How about the standby battery drain? Looks like signal reception still no good. Anyway, I am waiting for imported Snapdragon S20+. The Ultra camera is no that big difference unless you want to zoom. Prefer the faster super dual pixel autofocus with low megapixels over high megapixels with slower phase detection autofocus.

Oh no..not again. Network reception and signal is very important. Not only it affects usage but in general it affects battery life as well. Why didn't Samsung learn from the Note 10's poor network reception.

i kinda expected when bitebug said the reception is performing below the standard. Samsung did not fix anything on this since the n10 plus. what a let down. Im so disappointed as this will be the same for coming Note 20.

haha. did u missed out on several user complained here about the reception? i am using Digi. some using Celcom. many Maxis. All got same complain. Best yet, some use two phones, and the other phone with same telco got higher network reading.

That is the problem, Exynos has poorer network reception, as proven before. But then again, if this is indeed proven by someone who is having the S20 at hand, then I will rest my case and leave it here.

I'm at office now.. my OnePlus is 4 bar on Digi. My S20+ is Full bat on Digi also.. how? Hahaha

Anybody find the battery drains damn fast? On my s20+ in few mins go from 100% to 98% even though I only looked at Facebook. This is after I changed to 60hz and turned off always on display.

Took a screenshot of it at 100%. Going to sleep and see tomorrow morning how many % it drops.

But anyone else feels the battery drains toooooo fast?
