you will learn if you want to learn. if you dont well, you'll be doing office boy jobs. so it depends on how well u can handle stuffs given by ur superior or seniors.

but the environment is quite relaxed so shouldnt be a problem

You can request and talk to your pm but for fresh grad, this is the only opportunity to earn bucks and project experience rather than doing maintenance and development only.

Going overseas, most probably you'll have to stay there for a month unless exceptional travel.

haha, very unlikely a newbie will be sent to a overseas project tho. then again, they need alot of programmers.

silverlake is a 5days a week from9-5.30
parking at 1u is cheaper and easier but can claim.
1yrs bond is only applicable if u receive the RPG training.

btw, im also a newbie in silverlake. with the ocbc project in menara ocbc.

Newbie will be sent to overseas if the team have less ppl and need some 1 to show face at the site.

Good thing is u can earn ur bucks

Bad thing is u might be there alone without senior guide. Go there die biggrin.gif

Added on September 10, 2010, 10:29 amOwh, and for ocbc project, not all of them will be based in ocbc. There are many pcs in the kpmg office set up for this project.

I hope this gives u some thoughts... My comments are, it is a good stepping stone to learn...I was there from 2002 to 2003 (slightly above 1 year)...

However , management is very Chinaman...so if youre talking about increment, it may come or may not come...last time was like 2 years once....

Yes, u will have the opportunity to travel or based in overseas location like vietnam, thailand...china...but its boring...no doubt u earn a bit more..

Anyways..all i can say its...its a "Chinaman mentality" company smile.gif
Hope it helps

They like to recruit fresh grads..then again when u first graduated..any jobs with RM2k or above..u will grab it already...

Disclaimer : I did not mention the company name. I m just sharing my thoughts based on my experience.

Silverlake is doing projects for customers.

The sooner the project is over, the better for the company.
- work long hours to finish it up earlier

Customer will keep add/change things, and most of the time, these changes will become the additional work.
- work long hours to finish it up earlier

if you work overseas, most of the time you gonna work on weekend, sometime on sunday.
- work long hours to finish it up earlier

actually, nowaday all companies are like these.
