i would’ve kept the 100mbps for that upload speed haha

Local speedtest only cantik.

Try check back his previous posts, international speedtest upload speed was dropped badly.
Singapore 50+ Mbps but mostly America/European just around 5Mbps only.

Do you mind running a ping test for me? I think after the cable cut... it is impossible to game on NA server
https://gameserverping.com/world-of-warships
In game, my ping can spike from 109ms to 980+...
This test is pretty accurate

- Private IP by default, Public IP available for all plan on request (for now). Just call CS and tell them you want public IP. No drama. No question asked. But they insist on sending technician home to set up a new router configuration.
- For public IP, you are always assigned in a fixed /24 pool, which is so classy  brows.gif

Thanks for your insightful review, I'm planning to register Celcom Fibre next month and this feedback helps me a lot.

However, I'm concerned about Public IP... Though no drama, no question asked, will that be activated over the phone call? I know they insist on sending technician.. Or only when technicians come they will activate?

i did it too, just speculation, i THINK it is activated on their side quite fast. then they tell you not to reboot router/disconnect because once you disconnect it wouldn’t work anymore till they come.
so what i can speculate for that, your original PPPoE ID user@celcomhome (private IP) has been deactivated, so you won’t be able to reconnect via that username.
technician will come and change your username to user@celcomfirstfibre.com.my to connect.

couple of guys here have done it themselves, so if you’re familiar with your router and are able to do it yourself just do it and tell the technician it’s done when he calls.
suggestion is to do it on the day he comes, if you’ve done it successfully just let them know when they call. if it’s screwed up let them come and fix it.

Im getting 355ms ±10. Steady but quite high even for a destination deep in central US.

For your min ping 109ms I think is outlier. Even in most ideal or theoretical situations, latency to even west coast US wouldn't get below 150ms due to physics constraints like speed of light inside fiber optics tube.

Yes. can confirm.
1. Only username domain needs to eb changed on the customer side.
2. Celcom loves sending technician to home for shits and giggles.

looking through the forum ... seems like the router given have limited access, does it allow to change the DNS setting or we need to ask the tech to do it ?

thanks a bunch for all the reviews and feedback in this community.

Same backbone but different routing, that makes a huge difference.

Allo still a long way to go, Johor's deployment alone took them more than a year. shakehead.gif

Choose the cheaper option for the speed you want.
