I'm not sure whether to send in a report to Izzinet's CS.

Same or similar reports - similar response. If you think you can get a different response, you must be insane. I also get terrible bandwidth around the same time as most of us, which is usually in the evenings. Signal 100% only means that the signal can reach back to the computer fast enough.

What do the technical team do about these reports?

Based on the comments here, all I see is that they need to fix the base stations, some fine-tuning required, got technical problems etc. I went to a booth promoting Izzinet and asked about the bandwidth, the guy said the same thing. And of course he won't know what is actually going on in my area (TTDI/Damansara Perdana)

I call up CS while at the office, the guy tells me when I go back, I call them up again so that they can help me determine the problem? Hardly believable...

By the way, am I wrong to say that the company will not be able to meet the 10k subscribers quota in order to start the lucky draw that is being promoted on their website?

Yes,in this 1 week, our CS will call up customer whether the speed have been increase in certain area after the upgrading is complete. smile.gif

Since the website states that all areas are affected, does Izzi CS plan to call up those 3,000+ subscribers, or only those who complain? If so, I'll need to lodge (yet another) complaint... shakehead.gif

I'll start posting positive things when I win that BMW tongue.gif

Hmmm, from my opinion(not as CS),i think it will be lag while playing online game, where latency is most prob,as u can see, there is limitation on wireless, where stability is important.Hence, probably subscriber to izzi want to have download speed for torrent and surfing, which why they complain about the download speed.

As for mineself,i'm using streamyx. laugh.gif .So,cant comment anything about izzi so much, since never try it. laugh.gif

hmmm... is there anyone who is HAPPY with izzinet? I'm thinking of subscribing, but all I see is ppl complaining... would the happy ppl please stand up?

[EDIT] I'd like to know what u feel is the advantage of izzinet compared to the other broadband providers... I've read enough of the cons.

lucky you to get free upgrade. 3 complain has been submitted but hear nothing from them yet.

my download speed a bit better than before but at night...it still capped at 50% at best. Funny thing... 20% and 50% keep alternately ... let say 10 minutes. I realize this things via non-stop monitoring network activity (vista task manager - network).

Saturday and Sunday morning till evening, the speed is good. Could be say almost 100%. But night....kaputs. At least better than before which keep dc and time out.

Last night...the speed ok ok la. Alternate.

Deathly silence from the company to a reasonable question. Or maybe I'm being ignored for posting so many negative, but true, things about the service? whistling.gif

signed up izzi last month. mixed results. certain area the speed is good, certain places terrible, esp indoor and when the rain falls.

a lot user suggest adding the external antenna. so i visited their office in Wisma Olympia. To my surprise the antenna is HUGE, with a long cable. WTF? That ain't portable.

As we know antenna is no black art. They need to have matched connectors. The cable needs to have matched impedance. The antenna itself needs to be designed for both the correct frequency, gain, polar diagram, polarisation and so on.

i found this sweet little antenna on the web. biggrin.gif izzi should bring in this antenna rather than the existing DINOSAUR.

only problem is i heard izzi is running iburst at 1.7GHz instead of the rest of the world 1.9GHz. Is that true? if that's the case this antenna might not b compatible w izzi modem. sad.gif

I think u have a misunderstanding here. what the user suggesting here is the small external antenna like the one u suggested as well on that 2 website.

the one u see in the izzi office, i believe is the new outdoor external antenna that they bring in for user that having difficulties connecting to the izzi from home.

n kind of notice izzi really doing their maintenance work now. unable to access their website.
