Haa...thats because you dont mention my nick at Lennon...hahaha... just kidding.

Yeah, thats what kajika, me and other izzi user talk about here. After 10 pm...the speed drop, and the line seem not so stable (in term of ping latency). I monitor the ping latency all the time....the speed drop significantly when ping reach 2000++ ms. I just dont bother, coz either you restart your izzi connection or a minute later...the connection will be OK. OK not great.

Ping to google...nowadays at peak time (as you mention) close to 600 ms at my side.

More user than they can cope. Just cross your finger this probs will be rectified soon. Do update us about your izzi connection outside peak hour band...

You may try to change your MTU to 1400. It works wonder to me (gain another 20 kBps) compare to MTU 1500. But, your speed seem not normal. Using Ubuntu now (and also windows xp, even my ubuntu seem more izzi friendly lol in term of speed), my speed averagely 95 KBps.

Double check that your download speed is not limited by the server. Try to use download accelerator or download manager, max the download segment and download couple of files from different fast server.

For me, nZone is the best place to test download speed.

your 10 kbps is kilobit or kiB (kilobyte)?

well after reading all the postings here i was very apprehensive of getting izzi.

but i bought it anyway after considering my requirements. i needed a wireless connection because i move around alot plus im renting my place and dont want the hassle of pulling a fixed line and i also dont particularly need a fast connection.

im very pleased with the results tho.

i live in Bandar Utama and surprisingly get very good reception... constantly around 98%. However, speedwise its not anywhere near 1MB ...so say the many types of speedtests ive done OTHER THAN Izzi's which i get constantly 800-900MBs and i think its just bull.

So speed wise around 350-500mbps

ill keep u guys posted if i come across any problems

I dont trust speed guide much..

Why? I always got wierd result using server Malaysia and Singapore. A couple of times, I get below 150 kbps (should be 1000 kbps) downstream and 60 kbps upstream. But, my download speed using torrent after that ( i stop all the torrent for the purpose of speed test), climb to 90+ kBps.

I am using Ubuntu / Kubuntu Linux (sourceforge driver) + Deluge Torrent Client.

Normal download from nzone also give the same result.

Sometime 500 kbps is normal cap.

My dear, your lagging problems is not because latency alone...its because your PC hardware can not handle all those high detail 3D graphics setting too. Thats why, by turning down those setting you will feel smoother than before. But for people who use "more than capable" 3D card, let say Geforce 8800 GTS for example, ultra high setting in any MMORPG game will never taxed our computer out.

Like you said before, your char will move but hardly attack..thats latency lag problems.

Anyway, thanks for sharing with us.

My dear, not hardware problem lar. Seriously, is the line problem lar in this case. Because previously when I play with streamyx, it's very smooth, no problem at all. WoW also I play smoothly before I get izzi. All with high setting. And also coz the connection now is wireless mah, very hard to get stable connection. Last nite latency very high cry.gif cry.gif . Timed out until crazy vmad.gif mad.gif

The reseller told me that by default the setting in MTU is as 1400, which he advice that not to configure anything as it might create problem later. He even told me that the bandwith will be increase again due thsi week as lots new users been joining Izzi.

So i just have to wait lo and see how ot works after this week. As mentioned , my download is around 10 - 30 kBps (kbyte)..

Heh, default MTU for windows is 1500. Dont just blindly believe the reseller. They are "reseller", not tech or something more technical. Check here

http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php

Download the tools, and optimize your network. In case you lost during configure your windows setting, there are alot documentation there..to guide you. Eventually, you will understand why tuning your MTU will improve our wireless data transfer.

2moons website is www.2moons.com
PW is perfect world...google it. It is local hosted 3D (really good visual effect i told you).

Hope this help.

The way you reply seems vry familiar to many of us..........just like what we received from TMnut. Well, we can only hope that izzi will keep to its promise, otherwise its just another type of screamyx service provider. unsure.gif

Hmmm,i'm working on izzi customer service,so the technician still on the way to solve the prob.Of cos there will be ppl to complain,so far we will solve the problem by calling up customer.I just working no longer than 1 month, but i can see there is potential to build up their reputation as broadband provider. As long u have the prob, can call us up,and report us,to get the attention of the prob. smile.gif

hmm....

I send a ticket to them (using their website), complete with detail description of my probs. The auto responder website, advice me, that their tech will contact me within 5 working days....but, why till now (12++) working days, I still heard nothing about it eh?

Actually my probs more or less like others. The download speed approximately 500 kbps now. Compare to 950+ kbps when I first subscribe.

Izzi should build up more antenna. 1 antenna (according to iBurst whitepaper) could only support 24 x 1 Mb downstream. What happen if my place (Kelana Jaya) suddenly has 150 users, which 100 of them connected (and use full bandwith possible, downloading, torrenting..what else)....defenitely, by best effort, I can only get half of the promise speed.

Latency nowadays seem getting worse, compare to 3 weeks ago. Now,by using ping -t google.com, i get quite a number and consistant time out. Which rarely happen last 3 weeks.

Haizz...more ppl subscribe, the worst our connection will be...help.

(signal strength always 100%.)
