Any advice/guide/tips for running options for new player?
I'm looking at PLTR Sells options at $10, Then i realized that if you count premium/day, 3rd weeks usually higher offer premium/day.
Date          /Ask / Days / Per Day
29-Apr /0.04 / 5 / 0.008000
06-May /0.11 / 12 / 0.009167
13-May /0.30 / 19 / 0.015789
20-May /0.38 / 26 / 0.014615
27-May /0.44 / 33 / 0.013333

Then for $10.5/

29-Apr / 0.09 /5 / 0.018000
06-May / 0.18 /12 / 0.015000
13-May / 0.46 /19 / 0.024211
20-May / 0.54 /26 / 0.020769
27-May / 0.56 /33 / 0.016970

It's because 9 May is PLTR's earnings announcement. There is no free lunch. Almost everything is priced in.

Earnings is riskier because the stock may gap up or down >30%. Therefore, the premium is higher.

People who want to bet on earnings will buy options that expire after 9 May. If you buy before, it's useless because it expires before earnings..

it exists, however, those arbitrage trades are discovered and traded by players with direct computer access before you can even look at it . hence the rich will always get richer

Yea, I know of Renfund. That's why there is no free lunch for ordinary investors like us.

An interesting example of voting rights and its influence on different share classes is shown below for Schroders. The same can be seen in Roche (ROG.SW/RO.SW) and to a lesser extent BRK-A/B and GOOG (Class C, no voting rights)/GOOGL (Class A, with voting rights).

Hi Guys, need help. Now I create IBKR, and wise.

Now I stuck on the step between wise and IBKR.

I do
1) wise, pick "USD",
2) ibkr, USD -> wire -> it return a Citibank info, but when I try in wise as:
2a) swift, not supported by wise
2b) local transfer, the Citibank account number deem invalid by wise.

So what you guys usually pick for direct transfer from wise to ibkr?

Edit: ibkr pick SGD or GBP, and wire transfer?

Well, let us introduce you to a local YouTuber.

Search for ziest wise ACH transfer tutorial

Do go through his tutorial on using IBKR web also.

👍

Make sure to set your IBKR default currency as GBP or USD or SGD of your choice. Then use the wise currency wallet as set in IBKR to transfer.

Thanks, will share my joy here again once able to transfer money in. laugh.gif

edit: So the problem I faced because 1) my IBKR was pending approval when try to transfer fund and 2) I didn't kick start an USD currency balance account in wise so unable to follow the ziest wise step initially. But once IBKR approved the "Direct ACH" will appear, then the transfer from wise to IBKR is straightforward.

Below link will be the updated version which is helpful as of April 2022:

Hope it helps for future people who searching answer from here.

Thanks AthrunIJ for the guidance. laugh.gif

Just want to confirm.

I transfer all funds as USD into IBKR.

But if I want to purchase Singapore stocks. I will need to exchange some funds to SGD in IBKR before proceeding right?
