ur ID should have been requested by TSG during account opening process, for my case there is no ID being asked no more once account is created, able to login to IBKR and ready to fund.

yes can fund it with SG CIMB
sending institution can put: CIMB Bank Berhad Singapore
account number is to put in your CIMB SG acc number, correct.
account nickname up to you to change, it is just for your own reference.

remember to put your TSG/IBKR account number at "reference" / "message" when you creating FAST transfer to IBKR SG at CIMB SG portal

congrats on getting the ibkr account done.. since they didnt ask for the ID, then so be it.. not as if u purposely submitted a false personal info beforehand i assume?

and yes, feel free to fund ur ibkr account now that it'd been set-up.. sending institution is cimb sg (please input full official bank name) if u're funding it through there.. account number is ur cimb sg account number.. nickname i put my full name (as per both bank and ibkr account)

you guys best make sure got ID all set up properly first oh... later wanna withdraw get in trouble no ID for them to verify gg ah... lol

i was going to say this, but u replied before me.
if you are not in a rush to use the account, try make a small deposit and withdrawal first.

happened to me with other broker that no issue with deposit n trading for abt a year, when it comes to first withdrawal request, back and forth for a while, but eventually got the funds la.

yea agree with sorting the ID for withdrawal purposes..

thats why there's mentioned unless the user purposely went on to submit a false one, then thats really out of our hands here..

generally, as genuine as one can be, if ur bank details match the one provided to ibkr, shouldnt be a problem

Hi, I just applied IBKR trading account via TSG. It's under review process but there's a section saying We review funded account applications first.

Do i have to fund before account approval? Is it advisable to do so?

Also, when and where (which email address) do i submit the documents for approval?

with regards to funding.. no, not necessary to fund first before account opening.. u can fund after ur account has been opened..

but then again, its also possible to fund it before account opening.. so its up to u really..

as for the submission of documents, isnt the step for this included during the application process?

There is a section asking to email your digital documents to newaccounts@interactivebrokers.com email address with your account number as the email subject. Is this the place i should submit my docs?

The docs to submit are passport/NRIC and utility bill? Is that correct?

i couldnt be sure about the email part.. but i recalled for my case, i did not email them anything with regards to account opening.. my document were uploaded during the application process on the portal itself (which i find it weird that u're not the only one i've came across so far that have difficulties engaging this part)

i submitted passport and bank statement

yea strange..

i remembered that'll be the last section.. the application concluded after submission.. i wish to be more specific but thats as far as i could recall..

in any case, u can still contact TSG up to enquire or guide through the submission of document

ok i can see the upload documents button now....i tried uploading to IBKR SG and prompted to login, but everytime after login, it brings me to this Fax/Mail Sending Instructions page again and if you click Upload Documents button, if redirects to login page again. This loops again and again...not sure where it goes wrong.

strange yet again.. i dont remember i get to choose where to upload it to (sg, hk, aus, etc)..

but anywhere, im not sure how to go about the looping problem u faced.. what happened to me previously was an encounter of auto logout the moment i login.. every single time.. that happened when im at home.. i managed to solve it by login on another pc/mac in my office.. ur issue may differ from mine but feel free to try.. hope it helps

Fund it. See what they write there. We will review funded account first. That's how my account was approved so fast. Cause I fund it straight.

seems like my account is created after receiving a call from someone from IBKR (which doesnt sound professional/business like).

now, I'm seeing this page. I want to transfer $ to my MBB SG account and from there to IBKR SG. So should i select Transfer Fund, select SGD and make a deposit instructions in IBKR Client Portal and then from my MBB SG account do a FAST transfer to IBKR SG Citibank account? Is the steps correct?
