Another wheelchair-friendly feature is this magnetic door.
Door is always open. Magnet will release the door to "close" position once triggered by fire alarm 🚨.

based on my own experience, high floor got benefit.
at peak hour, usually lift will full when reach low floor.
high floor usually not full.
if taking high floor also pay lesser progressive interest
*
Good point. But what about when you call the lift and it keeps stopping at lower floors?

a good lift programming algorithm, will not let all lifts waiting a G floor.

Right after MCO, i wemt short holiday and stayed at a serviced apartment near Gurney Drive in Penang, paid extra to stay at unit on the third highest floor. When checked out on Sunday, waited 45 mins to get to ground floor due to all crowd checked out at same time. Those on lower floors, they called for lift going up and down, and took the lifts to go up when got space, stop at every floor. By the time reached higher floor already full. Then coming down also stop every floor coz every one is calling for both up and down which compound the lift waiting time.

After that experience, all the high rise properties i went viewing, i factored in number of units/lift in my consideration.

So from your experience and observation, what is the right number of unit/lift and units/floor?

Nit a matter of what i think but what is available and on offer in the market to benchmark using comparison method and factoring in unit size (90 units of 1-2 bedrooms per lift versus 3-4 bedrooms for example).

Not saying this is the right benchmarking but it is one factor i include in my evaluation.

The same goes for project tat only provide one car park per unit with narrow access road but most new projects are giving 2-3 car parks nowadays.

My recent experience with an airbnb near Genting, took us 90 minutes to be able to leave the dreaded place. No. of lifts is one thing, but the Airbnb check-in/check-out time to me is the main culprit. Everyone boards the lift at the same time.
