my vote goes for induction, actually both are nice.
but if speaking of daily use, induction can save electric bill and faster in heating. cremaric is good when you can't use induction cooker. |

It showed that induction stoves are no better than coil stoves.** (see attached image) This results were repeated in two labs and also using different testing blocks. The problem isn't because electric coil cooktops were doing much better than we previously thought. Rather, induction cooktops appeared to do worse than we were told. My wife has a lot of claypots, Corning glass pots, Tefal Origami frying pans which are not compatiblw with induction cookers.
For this reason, we will probably go for a ceramic cooker. Can re-use all these utensils. |

induction cooker because easier to clean, safer and more energy efficient than ceramic.
downside is that non ferrous utensils (ceramic, glass) doesn't work but there is a workaround for this. get a heat diffuser easily from shopee or lazada. |

Between induction and ceramic, i prefer ceramic. Induction can easily burn. Cannot sustain temperature. It works like normal aircond. On off on off. Ceramic works better. It heat ur pans. Even the heater is off the glass still hot. It can sustain the temperature. Cook low heat no problem. Wont get burn easily. |

QUOTE(death_nite @ Aug 26 2019, 04:44 PM) I use ceramic. Cook everyday after works. Got 3 inverter aircond which turn on 10-7. 1 very big inverter fridge. Monthly electric bill around 200 only. I think not that makan electric lah. What brand. How muchPreviously i got induction cooker. |

QUOTE(raynman @ Aug 26 2019, 03:29 PM) Induction cookers are more powerful and efficient than ceramics. Some induction cookers are as powerful as high powered gas cookers. Ceramics are cheaper to buy, not as powerful and power consumption quite high but unlike induction cookers you could use any pot or pan on it where an induction cookers you won't be able to use some types of pots and pans. |

QUOTE(destiny6 @ Aug 26 2019, 04:25 PM) BS la..... electric tariff also naik liao if you boiled in large quantity gas definitely cheaper, if small amount just to make a cup of Milo use small kettle la i think people mistaken electric cooker cost more money because of the old type of electric coil heating technology where you need to wait slowly for it to be heat, while induction is using a different magnetic technology which it heat very fast and uses less electricity. but up to you lar. you decide for yourself. |

I “never” try max settings, unless i want a black piece of charcoal fried chicken. Overcooked outside, fleshy inside..There’s one incident where i tried max setting, the onion burned quickly and fire sparked inside the pan.. |

QUOTE(santik @ Aug 28 2019, 07:03 AM) Of course not dude, the major difference with ceramic and induction is with ceramic the surface gets hot, it's real heat, that's why you can use any cookware and with induction it uses electromagnetic to induce metal pot/pan, the surface just gets warm |

Been using ceramic one + steamer for rice/soup etc and the usual meal cooking 23 days a month cost 30-35 a month only.
Those who say high electricity consumption either never use or hearsay from Dino era pipu. Even a 1hp aircon cost rm2 a night for operating nine hours. #justsaying |

I bought a ceramic cooker two days ago.
I decided on this because my wife has tons of non-ferrous non-magnetic cookware that we can use with a ceramic cooker. No need to spend extra money to buy induction cooker specific cookware. I am boiling a bunch of purple-coloured sweet potatoes right now in a Corning glass pot. Timer set for 35 minutes. |
