My wife has a lot of claypots, Corning glass pots, Tefal Origami frying pans which are not compatiblw with induction cookers.
For this reason, we will probably go for a ceramic cooker. Can re-use all these utensils. |

QUOTE(Phoenix_KL @ Aug 26 2019, 04:06 PM) both. induction cooker the food will burn easily. ceramic cooker no such problem Interesting. I'll read up on them later. Thanks! However, a 2014 study done by US Department of Energy showed otherwise. It showed that induction stoves are no better than coil stoves.** (see attached image) This results were repeated in two labs and also using different testing blocks. The problem isn't because electric coil cooktops were doing much better than we previously thought. Rather, induction cooktops appeared to do worse than we were told. The story got even worse later for the induction cooktop, but I won't go into that. https://www.chowhound.com/post/induction-co...-1019044?page=3 https://www.energy.gov/sites/prod/files/201...ts_TP_SNOPR.pdf |

QUOTE(ReWeR @ Aug 26 2019, 04:14 PM) you can use heat diffuser, something like this: https://tinyurl.com/y2ohpy9n Thanks for the tip! so your non-magnetic cooking utensil can be use on it. up to your preference |

QUOTE(death_nite @ Aug 26 2019, 04:44 PM) I use ceramic. Cook everyday after works. Got 3 inverter aircond which turn on 10-7. 1 very big inverter fridge. Monthly electric bill around 200 only. I think not that makan electric lah. Thanks for sharing. Previously i got induction cooker. Between induction and ceramic, i prefer ceramic. Induction can easily burn. Cannot sustain temperature. It works like normal aircond. On off on off. Ceramic works better. It heat ur pans. Even the heater is off the glass still hot. It can sustain the temperature. Cook low heat no problem. Wont get burn easily. |

QUOTE(Ho Kah Heng @ Aug 26 2019, 05:54 PM) No issue so far, pots and pans are easy to find as long its flat at the bottom, people said it takes times to heats up but no problem for me, while waiting for my pan to heats up I can cut onions or do other things, and then with ceramic u can bbq meat or fish that u can't with induction. Thanks for sharing. |
