New bill came today.
Monthly subscription down to RM69 (previously RM80). But speed still remain at 2Mbps.
My modem showed the max attainable speed is 6Mbps. Hopefully TM technician will change the setting at their side soon.

Maybe A1700 ia a student.

Sometimes tm offer student package during Merdeka day.
Student package mean cheap subscribe price.
A1700 is one of the lucky student....

u better ask them. i asked them but they said no free port even my modem attainable is 10mbs. plus they said they have no plan to upgrade infrastructure in my area

I'm using streamyx 8m plan, they charged me 30 for that as well, managed to cancel with live chat.
plan updated within 24hrs. Here is the flow:
live chat open case => Call from TM for confirmation => Received email and message case closed and tv pack removed.

All within 24 hours.
- but only reflect starting next month.

Just FYI, after your package is switched to RM 69, your account is also back to Private IP, mine is back to Private IP these few days, even through the Streamyx package is changed in the middle of September.

So far I tried to reach the Customer Service for letting them enable Public IP back for me, but unsuccessful, unsure it is because of cheap package is disallowed like UniFi, or the Customer Service is new enough to the enable of Public IP for CCTV.

I guess what's CS do is just a reset port for a renew of shared "Public IP" for me. sweat.gif


And still sad to see them pulling UniFi to those old double storey house, and also shops one street away. sweat.gif


Anyways, if someone successful for changing back to Public IP address, just inform me. smile.gif

You all get correct amount for latest bill?
My bill start on 28 of the month.
On August 28, the bill come with old amount, I email to them tell them 28-31 Aug is RM140 rate but 1 Sep to 27 Sep should be RM69 rate. They ask me wait for next month bill.

Now I received this 28 September bill. It show
Streamyx Home 4.0M RM140 26/09/2019 27/09/2019 -9.03
unifi Lite 26/09/2019 27/09/2019 4.45
unifi Lite 28/09/2019 27/10/2019 69.00
26 Sep to 27 Sep minus 9.03? suppose is 28-31 Aug which about RM18
Then 1 Sep to 27 Sep is about RM60.
Total bill for that month is RM82.68 (include sst)

But that month still RM148.40 (include sst)
Then this month should RM73.14 (include sst)
The latest bill should minus the last bill that I over pay which is 148.40-82.68=RM65.72
so it should be RM73.14-65.72=7.42
right?

FYI, my plan before conversion was a Public IP which I could access home CCTV if I wanted. After plan change it is the shared IP as you mentioned. I called in asked for changing back to Cctv-able IP and they CHANGED it. But a 1 week or 2 later, someone obviously changed it back to shared IP again! Now I am thinking of screwing them once more but I've yet to as I have other matters to attend.

Just live chat them and see what the extra charges,

Mine even better, still charge the old price despite the RM69 promised...
Live Chat only get the system error probably...and submit to complain team...walao how lucky system error that is...

Now ask me wait within 15 days and give me a case number...... doh.gif

So I guess is the CS is new to this issues, and lucky the CS got inform the IT department to handle it.

And ya, I thinking they are changing the old age Streamyx user back to Private IP manually, as lot of UniFi users are Public IP provided as default.

Did you sense any speed or ping speed difference between Public IP and Private IP?
one disadvantages of private IP is sometimes you may get something like Google search ask you to verify the traffic lights or truck mosaic when too many users googling things over the same IP.

BTW your Private IP always begin with 100.x.x.x?

1 years ago, yes, there is difference in between Public IP and Private IP, when you open Lowyat Forum, it will get peer reset, don't remember for the speed difference.

A few day ago, when it is revert back to Private IP, I don't notice anything wrong, until I saw the 100.x.x.x Private IP on the modem, so can say nearly no difference except no one can connect you, including your CCTV. hmm.gif

I guess maybe they had tweaked the Public IP to be assigned like 2-5 users, as they have difference kind of usage, so it is hard to facing speed or connection limit issues like 5 user connected to the same server.

-----And just a little off topic
4 years ago, the IPv6 is working and assigned to Streamyx users, until like 1 and a half year, then it changed to providing private IP range to Streamyx user, unsure it is intended or buggy router, as the Prefix Info is correct, but the IPv6 Address/Prefix Len is in Private IPv6 address. sweat.gif

As I don't saw any IPv6 indicator on any post in this thread, so I guess no one can get their IPv6 works for Streamyx, except you. tongue.gif

PS: Fun part, the PPPoE server or the connection in between just blew up like 2 and half hours in midnight today, first time the ADSL is stable but no internet access, and also watching them having a port reset trying to fix the issues. laugh.gif
