KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 — Following its initial announcement during Kembara Digital Malaysia, TM has announced a price reduction for all Streamyx customers. Effective next month, all Streamyx customers will be billed RM69/month.

The price revision will be effective for all customers, regardless of which speed you’re on. On top of that, TM will bump up your existing speeds up to 8Mbps if it’s technically possible. There’s no new additional contract for all customers.

If you have existing free calls with your base plan, it will be retained as well. Any optional add-ons that you’ve subscribed to will be charged on top of the RM69/month amount.

For new subscribers, the Streamyx plan will be offered for RM89/month. The new pricing is only applicable to residential users and TM will make another announcement for SME users at a later date. — SoyaCincau

RM69 for 8mbps only, no way!
Just extend your infrastructure to all non-unifi area, many are willing to switch from streamyx.

My area almost 15 years no unifi, until today max speed for streamyx only 1mbps!!

Then at least your Streamyx bill will be reduced to RM69/month, and it shall stay at 1Mbps or possibly higher to the max speed available in your area.
Or you may consider Unifi Air for RM79/month (4G LTE wireless broadband), speed up to 20Mbps. Ask TM for more info.

My mom's house was upgraded to about 5 mbps. Unifi is there but no port available. Going to Unifi Air is a good option, depending if there's enough signal. Oddly her taman got weaker 4G signal (Maxis & Celcom).

I wonder for those on 1,2 and 4 - if the max speed infrastructure at 8mbps, will they offer a free speed bump in addition to price drop to RM69? Or maintain at old speed?

From FAQ, seems they'll just maintain the speed wor cry.gif

None, my current bill is RM77 was told max speed only 1mbps TM not going to upgrade anymore.
old town area are abandon by TM retain streamyx only vmad.gif

Ignore all those 4G/LTE, it can't meet my requirements at all as I can't configure connect to other device eg CCTV
Beside, no unifi air at my area also...

TM so kind this time.. In my case, Turbo-ed to 100Mbps from my old VIP5 plan.. contacted Unifi asking why i charged RM149 monthly (old price for VIP5), bcos new plan for 100Mbps only RM129. Unifi said the price followed old plan, no way to get RM129 unless I terminate and apply new plan. Now thinking to switch to Maxis bcos RM149 already can get 300Mbps.

UNIFI lite 10 Mbps RM 69 is only for Internet part only exclude UNIFI TV and Voice package.
UNIFI TV is RM 30 and compulsory but Voice package ( RM 20 ) is optional.
Not able to agree ob UNIFI TV which I never use but charge RM 30.
