QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 11 2020, 03:06 PM) Just want to ask anyone here, I am planning to subscribe to Unifi Air but they keep insisting that my area have no coverage. Just go to TMPoint Office (not TAD / Reseller / Agent) and ask for Unifi AIR. When they deny registration, just say you needed it badly and you agree on all terms & conditions, which means you will agree that TM had warned about no-coverage status and if it happens to be your Unifi AIR is deemed unusable in future such as congestion or any infrastructure goes up interfering Unifi AIR coverage, you will not seek for compensation / rebate / discount; plus penalty waiver will not be considered.I have been stuck with 4 Mbps Screamyx which is a torture for me and I do hope I get the upgrade to Unifi Air. I have tested my area with my Note10+ and iPad Pro and yes my area already have Band 40 activated this month. So I can get a really fast speed up to 80 Mbps in the morning, but they keep saying I cannot upgrade to it due to no coverage. So how I can solve this? I should have no problem to subscribe to Unifi Air rite? Seriously I cannot stand that 4 Mbps sampahmyx speed anymore. Incase if you lodge MCMC of such issue in future and seeking for repayment, TM can counter with your willingness in such agreement. This post has been edited by Daniel Hyuuga: Jun 18 2020, 08:03 PM |

I have decided not to sign any contract with them. After discussing with all of you in this forum, I will continue my SIM only plan and already bought Huawei B818 modem as my modem. So I can cancel anytime. Will cancel Streamyx tomorrow. This is the speed I get with UniFi Air, hotspot from iPad Pro 10.5. Finally I can watch Netflix in 4K which is not possible at all using my Streamyx. Edit: Oh I forgot to add, surprisingly the TM people help me to register this UniFi Air as smooth as possible. At first they did not allow me a few weeks ago, then after I show the speed I get with my Unifi Mobile speed, they let me. Did not ask much. And today the TM people call me to follow up how was the speed and want to proceed with modem bundle or not, I said way faster than Streamyx of course and will buy my own modem. And they ask me to come to TM Point tomorrow to start with the cancellation of Streamyx effective immediately. Finally I am so happy to get a fibre like speeds for download which I have been stuck with slow Streamyx speeds for 10 years. QUOTE(zidane28 @ Jun 19 2020, 10:45 AM) Whoa, that's a very very good speed u got there! Same like me.My area only have 1mbps Streamyx so I have to take Unifi AIR, and I only get speed average 10mbps ~ 20mbps, but way better than my current Streamyx... But my place stuck with 4 Mbps Streamyx. As long as this Unifi Air is able to give 20 Mbps speed is enough for me. Way better than my sampahmyx. So unstable and high ping every night. QUOTE(Daniel Hyuuga @ Jun 19 2020, 12:26 PM) No need PM.Search for Centerpoint Seremban. My house is within that area. |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 17 2020, 09:03 AM) I ald ask about converting a SIM only plan to bundle, but not possible. so you are using unifi air outside of their coverage map and have no problem?Need to cancel first and subscribe to bundle after that. Why so hassle to subscribe to their service? Anyway just want to ask, if I get a stable service via unifi mobile BEBAS at 8 Mbps fixed constantly connected to band 40 2CA, is it good enough to subscribe to unifi Air device bundle directly? So hassle to subscribe and unsubscribe the service many times. |

QUOTE(focusrite @ Jun 20 2020, 10:54 AM) Yep.No issues at all. I did ask TM Point about this, and they said some customers are being offered with Unifi Air if they are having issues with Unifi Lite because the copper line are not being maintained for so long, so they offer a SIM to these customers to test it. If it is okay and stable, they will proceed with cancellation of Streamyx. They have registered many customers outside of Unifi Air coverage area so far based on what I asked them. And I did test Band 40 around Seremban, it seems they already did expand the Band 40 2CA coverage in many key areas but did not update the coverage map yet. |

QUOTE(focusrite @ Jun 20 2020, 03:49 PM) thanks For me, I suggest you take the SIM only plan and test it on your phone.wanted to apply for unifi but no port in my area so will have to settle for this instead. you happy with it so far? It might have a different result based on an area. Make sure your phone is able to support Band 38/Band 40. In my case, they ask me to test it, if it is up to satisfaction, then proceed with it. I cancel my Streamyx yesterday. Of course I am happy. After using Streamyx 4 Mbps for 10 years, finally I get a more than 10 times the upgrade speed with Unifi Air. Finally something worth paying for. This post has been edited by khainiz94: Jun 20 2020, 04:05 PM |
