QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 17 2020, 09:03 AM) I ald ask about converting a SIM only plan to bundle, but not possible. so you are using unifi air outside of their coverage map and have no problem?Need to cancel first and subscribe to bundle after that. Why so hassle to subscribe to their service? Anyway just want to ask, if I get a stable service via unifi mobile BEBAS at 8 Mbps fixed constantly connected to band 40 2CA, is it good enough to subscribe to unifi Air device bundle directly? So hassle to subscribe and unsubscribe the service many times. |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 20 2020, 03:45 PM) Yep. thanksNo issues at all. I did ask TM Point about this, and they said some customers are being offered with Unifi Air if they are having issues with Unifi Lite because the copper line are not being maintained for so long, so they offer a SIM to these customers to test it. If it is okay and stable, they will proceed with cancellation of Streamyx. They have registered many customers outside of Unifi Air coverage area so far based on what I asked them. And I did test Band 40 around Seremban, it seems they already did expand the Band 40 2CA coverage in many key areas but did not update the coverage map yet. wanted to apply for unifi but no port in my area so will have to settle for this instead. you happy with it so far? |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 20 2020, 04:03 PM) For me, I suggest you take the SIM only plan and test it on your phone. I already have a 4g router so I'm def going to take the Sim only. It might have a different result based on an area. Make sure your phone is able to support Band 38/Band 40. In my case, they ask me to test it, if it is up to satisfaction, then proceed with it. I cancel my Streamyx yesterday. Of course I am happy. After using Streamyx 4 Mbps for 10 years, finally I get a more than 10 times the upgrade speed with Unifi Air. Finally something worth paying for. Will switch to unifi fibre once a port frees up |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 25 2020, 05:58 PM) So that means you are getting good speeds whether on Band 38 or Band 40. Didn't know that was considered as good speed haha. I'm okay with download speed but uploud speed really lousy And for router, maybe you can opt to buy your own. I saw many post saying the new ZTE modem is bad. so sad my TPLINK MR200 not compatible with unifi air |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 26 2020, 10:48 AM) Maybe it is okay as long as your place got Band 40 and 38 coverage since this modem does not support Band 5. I'm just worried I might not get much faster speed compared to just using an old phone for tethering after I spend a lot of money to buy the B618And the speed of course will not match the power of B618 and B818. can the B618 be used as a regular router for fibre internet in the future once I get regular unifi? QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 26 2020, 01:26 PM) That is why you should check what band is there using your Unifi Mobile BEBAS SIM. yeah i'm going to check later when i go that house(not living there atm)If it is Band 5, better avoid it like a plague. It is not fast at all. you mean avoid the B310 or B618 if using Band 5? |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 26 2020, 01:32 PM) I mean avoid subscribing to Unifi Air if your place only supports Band 5. i already subscribed so too late It is too slow for downloading especially on peak hours. now just debating whether i should continue with unifi air and buy router or just switch to digi infinite 150 and use my old TP-link archer mr200. i had very good experience with digi infinite in the past but it is like twice the price of unifi air. |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Jun 26 2020, 01:45 PM) Well if you get better speeds with Digi Infinite, why you should cancel it? i used digi previously because didn't have fibre or unifi air back thenI only proceed with this because this is the only line that is good enough for me. Digi is slow and Maxis is unstable in my area, so that is the only choice I have. I rather upgrade to Unifi Air with this speed than continue my 4 Mbps Sampahmyx which is unstable at night. then i move to house with fibre so cancel now moving somewhere again. house have fibre but no port so no choice but to use 4g again though my experience in digi infinite was in penang, don't know if it will be as good in selangor This post has been edited by focusrite: Jun 26 2020, 01:54 PM |

As shown below: ![]() Does this mean the slow speed I'm getting is due to my phone? The speed should increase if I get a router and lock it to band 40 right? |
