I can understand why Public Bank changes the transactions eligible for cashback, to contactless transactions, for Public Bank Quantum Visa Credit Card. As such, more people will prefer to use this card.

Then again, for Public Bank Quantum Mastercard Credit Card, why did Public Bank remove dining transactions from eligible transactions?

Sigh, another card service tax of RM 25 is incurred, when I need to get another credit card with cashback for dining transactions.

you can use contactless QV for dining or reload from QMC to BP for non contactless dining, no need to worry so much on the changes
*
Dont think this is an issue, do as tan_aniki suggested, in fact can get additional rm30/month for me and supp cardholders, easily achieved. With many banks curbing cb for ewallet, PBB is the exceptionally generous one.

Guys I have just got my first Quantum Master card statement. I have a RM30 cash back bonus, I have points earned (called "Vacation Indulgence Point") and I successfully requested for zero % flexi-payment for a transaction > RM1,200. I'm impressed. Should have applied for this card long ago. The CSA said there's no restriction on the number of flexi transactions I can request for as long as it's within my credit limit. There will be a RM100 for early settlement - but of course I won't let early settlement happen! I forgot to ask just now regarding my luggage set free gift which I think I should qualify.
Now what is this Vacation Indulgence Point? What can I use it for?

For me, quantum visa contactless transaction is must better compare to entertainment and/or departmental, at least get to use it often after 1st September. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah no more dining on quantum mastercard. Can use quantum visa or bigpay. tongue.gif

Contactless: tab amount up to RM250 or 9 times. Reset by pin. Accumulated up to Rm500. Can use search funtion for more info on contactless. thumbsup.gif

The number 9 times you mentioned is 9 times per month or 9 times regardless of how long you holding the card and need a pin reset to avtivate the paywave again?

from mid-June --> 9th July, that's less 1 statement cycle (partial), so no statement generated.

once u get 9 Aug statement, you only get RM38 cashback for period 10 July - 9 Aug.

for partial cycle from mid-June - 9 July, you need to write to PBB to get the cashback.

i've done this few times, others have done it as well. tedious, but just write to them. pbb is aware of this and so far honoring the cashback for partial-statement cycle.

For the partial statement, will the cash back be pro-rated as in they will not give the full 38 cash back even if you have met the spending requirements?

you still can get full rm38 cb for partial statement.

just make sure the spending is according to statement date cutoff. the CS will calculate accordingly.

Thanks for the replies, Human Nature, tan_aniki, rojakwhacker, MGM and mamamia. smile.gif

I just have to accept the fact that after 1 September 2019, Public Bank Quantum Mastercard Credit Card is slightly less useful than before.

Based on your good advice, I will just reinstate my cancelled Public Bank Quantum Visa Credit Card, and ensure that all contactless transactions (dining transactions included) are above RM 30, for me to get the cashback.

Anyone can suggest where to pay DBKL tax assessment and TNB bills online using credit card? I think Jompay does not accept credit card payment.

Sorry I have not used Jompay before. I went to the website and it seems payment can only be made using internet banking and no option to pay using credit card.
Can you advise how do I pay using credit card in Jompay?
