My appeal-application since June 19 for Quantum is still "pending documentation". I called today and was told no further documentation required, just waiting for decision. I actually paid extra for my other credit cards to make my CCRIS look good. No choice but have to wait - the 12 month zero % instalment is the feature I'm going after.
I can also see the "pre-approved" credit limit of RM50,000 of "pending" application on my CCRIS report. Hopefully it does not get shrunk to RM5,000!

QUOTE(IzaakC @ Jul 4 2019, 09:25 AM) Just wondering how did you do the appeal-application? In my application earlier, they put my "pre-approved" credit limit as RM50,000 as well. However, upon approval, this will change according to their valuation I was rejected at first - they called it "cancel". When I called to speak to the CSA, I asked for the reason but he would not tell. He then said he could put in an appeal for me, and nothing I needed to do. And since then the status has been "pending documentation". This post has been edited by LemonJane: Jul 4 2019, 11:17 AM

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jul 4 2019, 04:50 PM) I got many cards and most of the time no problem with card approval, except PBB. Unsuccessful since Jan 2016. My CCRIS everything is '0'. Maybe next time should apply from branch. Looks to me PBB has no shortage of customers. I wonder what's its rejection rate if approval is taking so long. My AEON took a week plus, my OCBC 10 days, PBB 20 days already since appeal and moving into the 4th week. I kind of think it's waiting for the next CCRIS update.

Guys, after 4 weeks' wait, I have finally received an SMS approval for my Quantum card. My ECCRIS report now shows a credit limit of RM40,000 , reduced from the previous RM50,000. I'm now on board the PBB family to enjoy the card benefits. Happy!

I'm speechless! I reported here few days ago that after all the waiting, I finally got an SMS telling my application for Quantum has been approved. Today on a Saturday, I received an email to tell me my application has been rejected! I sent back an email immediately to ask if this could be a mistake. I called the bank and the voice message was my application has been approved! I checked my CCRIS report and the notation of "Approved by FI" is still there. Any one has experienced this before? This is really frustrating. I hope it is a mistake alright. What sort of people work at PBB?

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Jul 13 2019, 11:38 PM) no need speechless. I trust the CCRIS more. I think the email was sent late, before the approval. The other day I received some promo for 7-7 that came in a few days after Jul 7. do as cybpsych said to be sure. I've got good news. Got to speak to CSA a while ago he said I had 3 applications altogether, one approved and 2 rejected. Why multiple applications I don't know but I did appeal against the first rejection so maybe it's counted as another fresh application. I was told my card has been sent and I should be receiving it this coming week. 😊

I receive my card today! after activating it and setting my pin, I followed the steps here to link the new card in pbe. I did these steps first as I thought it looked simpler : PBe > Account > PB Card > Add Card but it didn't work. So I tried these : PBe > Profile Maintenance > Manage Profile > Add / Delete Account And yes, got it. I'm really glad to be able to join the PBB family. QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Jul 19 2019, 10:07 AM) Just gave a call to PBB CS to check on my cb It was told that cb will only be awarded for transactions with OTP So those Boost wallet topup without OTP... Many overseas merchants don't require OTP. So these would not qualify for cash back with PBB then

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Aug 1 2019, 09:11 AM) For new PB CC under "Apply for PB Card Now for Amazing Rewards", accumulative amount of minimum RM200 (RM25 Cash Rebate) & RM600 (free gift: Barry Smith 5-in-1 Luggage Set or Noerden LIFE2 Hybrid Smart Watch) on retail transaction. I was told by PB Customer Service that online transaction not considered. Kindly take note. Really? I spent RM1,300 online hoping to get the luggage set. Aiya now I need to spend more I just checked up on the terms and conditions. Para 18 says: For the purpose of this Campaign, “retail transaction” means the purchase of any goods or services (local and overseas) with the use of the PB/PIB Credit Card and may, at Public Bank’s discretion, include any PB/PIB Credit Card transaction as may be determined by Public Bank except for the following transactions but not limited to: a) “Flexipay” AND “Zero Interest Instalment Plan” monthly instalment payment. b) Balance Transfer c) Auto-Debit & Recurring Payments d) Payments for utilities, direct marketing, insurance premiums, government related payments or payment via www.pbebank.com e) Any refund, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transaction f) Cash Advance / Cash Withdrawal, quasi cash, casino transactions, interest payments, late payment fees, finance charges, annual fees, reversals, payment to charity(ies) and any other form of service / miscellaneous fees.It doesn't exclude online transactions. QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Aug 1 2019, 04:00 PM) Suggest you to call CS to double confirm. CS told me retail transaction not include online transaction. CS said campaign like "Spend Online and Enjoy up to RM100 Shopee e-Voucher Campaign" which stated in TnC that valid only online transaction not for "retail transaction". I not really agreed by the way CS explained. Anyway only got RM120 for me not qualified up to RM600. Therefore I just need to spend another RM120+ at any shops to get qualified. I have spoken to a CSA. He said online transactions for utilities, insurance and "direct-marketing" items such as Cosway(but why?) are not included. Online transactions of air tickets, Lazada are included. Looks like different CSAs have different interpretations of what is "retail transaction".

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Aug 1 2019, 10:13 PM) Yeah right, must be system. I got my card last month with RM25 tax charged on my statement on 15/7. I then SMS to participate in the luggage set promo using code PBWG xxxxxxxxxxxx BFIVE. Spent RM109 at the shops and RM 523 for a hotel booking online. I just checked and I saw RM25 credited back on 31/7. So I think my online hotel booking does count towards the minimum retail transaction total of RM600. I did spend another RM668 for insurance payment but I assume now that it is not counted. Keeping my fingers crossed. Has anyone that has got the luggage set tell if you got notified by PBB about getting the luggage set? This post has been edited by LemonJane: Aug 2 2019, 11:30 AM

QUOTE(marquis @ Aug 7 2019, 09:52 AM) Anyone with good credit standing, earn more than what is required by the card, yet still got their application rejected? I called them up to check, but the CS said there's no reason for the rejection. I'm finding this very odd. FWIW, I applied via Ringgit Plus I was in that situation when I applied for Quantum Master, first time with PBB. My credit score was good as I always paid on time and I met the income level well, yet I got rejected. I asked for the reason of rejection and all I was told was "management decision". I asked if the bank could reconsider, the CSA so kindly said he would put in an appeal request for me. Meanwhile, I paid extra towards all my cards before the month-end so that my CCRIS report would look better i.e. lower utilisation rate. I got the approval message around 10th of the following month when the status of a few of my cards were uploaded on CCRIS. You can try doing what I did. Don't despair and be patient. I guess PBB cards are so much in demand that any thing in your application that they don't like they simply put aside. I applied direct. I don't know if it is any different from applying via Ringgit Plus. This post has been edited by LemonJane: Aug 7 2019, 03:43 PM

QUOTE(IzaakC @ Aug 7 2019, 04:42 PM) Will a canceled application affects my next application? Previously my income not reaching their min req for quantum, they offer me gold card but I turned down the offer by cancelling the application. I received increment recently and planning to reapply for quantum cards. all these occurs within 3 months. Your increment since 3 months ago? Then try. If it's just last month, maybe wait till you have 3 months' pay slips on new pay level to make your case stronger.

Guys I have just got my first Quantum Master card statement. I have a RM30 cash back bonus, I have points earned (called "Vacation Indulgence Point") and I successfully requested for zero % flexi-payment for a transaction > RM1,200. I'm impressed. Should have applied for this card long ago. The CSA said there's no restriction on the number of flexi transactions I can request for as long as it's within my credit limit. There will be a RM100 for early settlement - but of course I won't let early settlement happen! I forgot to ask just now regarding my luggage set free gift which I think I should qualify. Now what is this Vacation Indulgence Point? What can I use it for?

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Jul 1 2019, 02:12 PM) [attachmentid=10274110] So I would like to show my example here since some folks here wanted to know. So I topped up RM1.5k to BP on 28 Apr, statement generated on 2nd May, payment due on 22nd May, I called up CS on 14th May and said wanted to convert that RM1.5k to FPP, approved and showed in PBE on 16th May, CS said no need to pay anything when comes 22nd May, so another statement being generated on 2nd June, I will need to pay the first instalment which is RM125 on 22nd June. TL;DR, I managed to extend my first FPP payment to around 55 days. Max is 80 days if you really plan it out. Re: zero % flexi payment, Kelvin's example here was that he requested for conversion of RM1.5k spend before statement was out, and told no need to pay on statement due date. My case was that I requested for conversion only after my statement was out on 16 Aug. My request was approved for RM 1.3k (exceed RM1.2k) out of my total spend of RM1.9k. So come due date of 5 Sep, do I exclude the RM1.3k and just pay 600.00? The CSA may have told me that but I didn't hear clearly. There's a difference between Kelvin's case and my case, as I requested for flexi payment after the statement is out. Hope I can get answer here if not have to call CSA again.
